Well you're probably tripping, Whiteblack used Flame Fist Liu and was pulling off many of the pre-patch shaolin flame frame traps/links.

To be fair he did not "lost" first round, he was sent to loser because he was late. So he went undefeated during the entire tournament.
But unfortunately he won't be able to participate to the European tournament tomorrow, so Whitebl4ck will take his place.
And yes the console did not have the latest patch but tomorrow they will.
