The beta is North America exclusive for the moment, but that doesn't mean improved NetCode won't eventually be rolled out for everyone.

The goal of the beta is to patch rollback code into the game, not to let everybody on earth get their hands on fancy pants new netcode. If they are smart, they will eventually roll the world in, but there's literally no point in doing that at the beginning when they haven't even got the characters working.

Just played a FT2 with STB Aquary. 166ms ping from wherever he is. The inputs were still fairly smooth but lots of choppiness.

STB Aquary is from EU, but the beta is available only to NA players...

How choppy on a scale 1 - 10?

It'll depend on how good the connection is between the two players.

Normally rollback netcodes have a set frame delay to give the system leniency when doing its job. 3 frames is the average. In the perfect connect there should be little to no chopiness with 3-5 frames of delay, which isn't even that noticeable even in games like 3rd strike and SFXT where 1 frame links exist.

Maybe xbone is different. PS4 has different servers for EU and NA so maybe it's okay with xbone but not supported on ps4
