Ho ho ho! This week that laugh isn't Jim winning a round with Flash...it's Jolly Saint Nick! Christmas cheer replaced salty rants on a special Tuesday edition of GBS. Max returned from Florida in strong form, becoming the second player to win a tournament in season 6. He used Bane throughout most of the night although he did use Black Adam to defeat me in the winners finals. Quickly defeating Twisted 3-0 in grand finals Max has dethroned queen Selina after 5 weeks on top. Once again the breaker of backs stand tall in Chicago. What's old is new again.
Twisted looked strong heading into KIT, with notable victories against Saucy Jack's Superman and Chicago's Catwomen. The momentum of beating an EVO finalist could not save his back however, as he was soundly broken and beaten by Max in winners semis and grand finals.
N1k0lass enjoyed his first Christmas in America reaching 4th place defeating Jim, PPJ and Saucy Jack. Playing the Catwoman mirror against me we faced off in another 3-2 epic cat fight. Once again I clutched it out and proved I am the top cat in Chicago. An unsuccessful Dumbsday snipe against Twisted ended his night. Saying "bah humbug" to our post GBS Di Nico's Pizza Christmas dinner N1k0lass headed home to get some sleep, with visions of Metzos dancing in his head.
All eyes were on Jim after last week's stellar performance. After losing to N1k0lass at the beginning of the night Jim narrowly survived an encounter with Truth's Black Adam. His luck ran out in his next match though as he lost a close set against Dizzy, who had shown up to GBS for Christmas gifts. An irritated Jim declared that all this Christmas talk was throwing off his game and that Jesus was hogwash, a sentiment shared by Saucy Jack.
Shitters are back at GBS. After months of seeing Superman, Aquaman and Bane dominate the field the shitters have returned to spice up the bracket and make the stream hype again. PPJ's return has inspired others to play shitter alts and this lead to appearances from Scorpion, Cyborg, and Ares last night. There was even a Cyborg mirror. Booyah!
