Saturday, February 4th
Fundraiser tournament for CCSJ Track team
2400 New York Ave, Room 300
Whiting, IN 46394 (near Horseshoe Casino)

Need something to do the day before the Superbowl? Come out and compete at my first local tournament at Calumet College of St. Joseph. The goal of this tournament is to bring out the local fighting game scene of the Northwest Indiana/ South East Chicago area. It will be held at my college in room 300 (3rd floor lecture room). It is big enough to seat over a hundred students so it is plenty big. There will be signs to direct you where it is at so don't worry.

$5 Venue fee (money collected will go directly to the CCSJ Track and Field team)
$5 Per game (70/20/10 split for 1st, 2nd and 3rd)

Games:
Super Street Fighter IV: AE v.2012
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
King Of Fighters XIII
Mortal Kombat 9

Rules:
Standard tournament rules (double elimination, best 2/3 for everything, all finals 3/5)

Stream:

Because I am the normal streamer of the local tournaments in the Chicago-land area, I will not have the ability to run a stream for this event. My focus is to make sure the tournament runs on time and everything goes as smooth as possible. I can however just bring my setup and record the matches to upload later. Please leave your feedback and comments about this issue below.

Schedule:
Registration at 12:00 p.m.
Tournament starts at 2:00 p.m.
UMVC3 and KOF XIII will start at 2:00 p.m.
SSIV:AE v.2012 and MK9 will start at 5:00 p.m.
* Depending on how quickly things go we may break for lunch or something, however we HAVE to be out of the building by 10

Setups:
I will really need the help of everyone to bring setups (monitors, games, and consoles) for the event. I am aiming to have 10 setups and I would really need everyone's help to make that happen. Please post below if you can bring a setup to make this tournament run smoothly.

Volunteers:
A few of my teammates will be helping with the event. They know absolutely nothing about the FGC, so if anyone wants to help run brackets please let me know. We have no plans to run a team tournament, but if there is enough interest, and someone would want to run it then I am all for it.

Parking:
There is a student parking lot in the back of the building which will surely have plenty open spaces because it is a Saturday event.

*There will be an open house the same day the tourney is going on so remember that our event is on the 3rd floor, not the 2nd. I am a student ambassador for my school and if anything wrong happens on this day, it will look bad on me. We are also doing this to raise some money for my track team. If this is a success I can hopefully make this an annual, or semi-annual thing.

I'll do my best to be there. Unless something comes up I'll make it. Also you have the date as December 4th at the top but Feb 4th in the title.

Wow, wth I can't edit my posts with the new layout.... Any ways, Unfortunately I'm going to have to postpone this event or cancel it. I still want to have it but if I do it won't be until around march, I will update somehow on what the final word is
