Yes, you have to time it just right though. It's pretty frustrating but you can land it. Jump in 1 is better for cross ups, but it's irrelevant due to the block button.
Try using EB and do several consecutive jump over JiPs. Then do the same thing with another character, and you will find its significantly easier. You'll notice that with EB it doesn't seem to be a matter of timing, more so that the game just doesn't flip EB around so the attack comes out on the wrong side. Its pretty annoying because I like to cross over JiP to punish people spamming d1/2/3

Just wondering what you EB mains are doing. My Midscreen bnb for Outlaw is Starter~sand throw, NJP, RC B33~stab. It says 30% plus the 5 % bleed which is 35%. Its way easier to execute than the 21122 tackle (especially online lol). Am I missing something on why people keep using that string (21122 tackle) as an ender besides corner carry?

Why oh why does gunslinger have to be his weakest variation :( I mean, it's just so much fun going into his standoff mode, it feels just like I'm in a Western movie lol. But it just sucks that I have to use his mb sand bomb after his overhead low string in order to do decent damage. The other variations have his launcher or his sand throw to just continue that string into heavy dmg for free. Oh well...

Gunslinger has its uses, particularly in the Sub Zero match up. You just gotta 'sling outside the box with it ;)

Erron retains like 90% of his moveset in all 3 variations, so it doesn't really matter much tbh. I will upload a sub zero match where I used gunslinger to zone him out, should give a fraction of gunslingers potential

Please do! I have a hard time figuring out how characters play, so any videos help

For the time beind, my go-to BNBs at midscreen are B3, 3, Sand Toss, B3, 2, U1, NJP, F2, Sand Tackle and F1, 2, Sand Toss, B3, 2, U1, NJP, F2, Sand Tackle. If the NJP leaves me a bit too far away for the F2, Sand Tackle to connect, I'll also end the combo with F3, 2+4 since its got a bit more range.

Yep I use gunslinger a lot vs grandmaster subzeros. SOS 4 is great for getting rid of clones relatively safely

You think you bad? You aint bad.
This fucker looks scary.
I wonder if hes worth actually using besides him winning a tournament as a new character.
I came for the cowboy hat. Heard that variation was whack. Need a secondary. Is he better than Reptile or what? Hard choice between the two

I play Reptile and I feel he's better. He's gets much better meterless damage from his low/overhead mixups. Reptile is very meter hungry.

Thanks. Took your word for it. Looks pretty good to me so far. I wonder if hes high rish reward kinda guy

Erron Black's got some serious game on the ground with some wonderful range on his normals and plenty of blockstrings that can be cancelled into his command grab to get into causing the other player to make mistakes and fall into mixups. This is offset by his lack of airgame (beyond Outlaw njp) and slowish overhead combo starters. Caltrops are a wonderful tool in the corner (good for causing players to make a wrong decision just to avoid damage) and to dissuade players from running up to you if you're on the defensive. Marksman Erron can also trade with heavier hits than certain characters if they try to outzone you, making it worthless for them to try if you have the life lead.

Gunslinger I can't say much on, you'd have to ask players like @Pakman about it.

I think you got it the other way around. His overhead is super fast and long range. His low string is slow and short range. But both lead to good damage so he's really scary up close.

Coulda sworn his overhead was like 14/15 frames? It's definitely not 'super fast' at all though. 21122 is much faster, 112 into a run cancel is faster - although both are obviously not overhead.

It is 15 frames, quite fast for an overhead. but i thinks what make it good is it range. you can whiff punish a lot with f1 and also f12 into sandtrap is good mix up

Ok, so in practice it says his b3 is 14f startup and his f1 is 16 frame startup. I've heard it said that anything below 20 frames is too quick to block on reaction, so he's definitely got great mixup potential.

God why is Gunslinger so unsafe? None of his options in gun stance are worth picking over his marksman rifle or sword, and money shot is a joke. Damn it I just want the hat.

B3, 3, Sandtoss seems to be unreliable vs at least Takeda. Somehow the Sand Toss misses him. I haven't tested it against everyone else yet, but it warrants further investigation. I've been using F1, 3, Sand Toss, B3, 2, U1, NJP, FDash, 21122, BF4.

I love waking up in sos straight into low six shooters when getting corner clone pressure. Works wonders. Most sub mains set up clone and go through the Tom Brady progression of waiting to see what your reaction is in the corner with clone pressed up on your face.

I'm beginning to think Money shot was originally going to be universal across all three variations, but for w/e reason they said "no" so it's only in Gunslinger; in which case it really should be an overhead...

Also, SOS 4 start up is significantly faster than either of marksman's rifle shots.

^ SOS 3 is awesome! The satisfaction you get for literally blowing up someone's wake-up with that move is such a great feeling!

Why do people hate on gunslinger, it needs to be worked out a lot before people dismiss it. This variation is not all about getting max damage, it's about space control and zoning. Here is the gist of what I have gathered, I have mained this variation since day one since everyone went all in on outlaw early. You have to utilize all of his zoning tools to set up full screen damage. Far coin toss and sand grenade roll all recover decently. Use his full screen push strings to create distance like f242 and f132. Mix up run cancels on hard knockdowns. Like pressure with run cancel at sweep range to sos 3. Run cancel into pressure string 21122 sand tackle, or 21122 slide, then Immediately into sos after slide recovers for sos4 or sos3 or possibly 2 because noobs like to jump out of wakeup if youre sitting around sweep range. Zoning requires set ups. Roll sand grenade to make them jump into long coin shot then cancel into sos when coin shot recovers to do sos 4 or sos 3 if they try run pressure. Sos 4 has a step back animation, you can punish overhead specials like quans and possessed Kenshi's overhead teleports on reaction. I will do a guide for this variation in the coming weeks to shed some light, but I still have a lot of work to do. I have gradually been getting more success over this past week. More so than what I get with outlaw, need to work on marksman next.

I'm glad somebody's doing work on Gunslinger, though your explanation of it definitely says that Gunslinger will never be for me. Still, it's great that it's not totally useless like it seemed on Day 1 - keep it up man.

Thanks. Yea it's more of an acquired taste variation lol. I think there is more here, not sure how much. I am not confident to say it will be the best set of tools with Erron, but I certainly don't think it's useless.
