Question - Reptile Current Reptile BNBs?

Hello, just picked up Reptile, thanks to the let TestYourMight choose your main type deal. So I was like alright I always wanted to pick him up. Let me head over to the Reptile forums to give me a boost, Reptile mains have had the character for a while. But when I look at the forums compared to other characters it's a noxious mess, and a lot of forums are deceptive because they are not patched. So can someone help a new Reptile player get a nimble start by listing some bnbs or perhaps any tips for me to learn? Thanks guys!

I mostly wanted to use Noxious Reptile because something about ruining someones come back factor in the middle of a match entices me lol

Is there any reason not to use F412>BF2, 21, F312>BF4, or just F31>BF4? I believe the flip ender deals 27%, while the ender I'm doing does 28% without the last 2 or 31% with it. Though I'll probably use F412>BF2, 21, F412>DB3 for the majority for pressure afterwards lol

You're absolutely right. I have a problem consistently landing 21 after f412~bf2.
I always prefer consistency instead of damage, and it is a "me" problem :p
I see, lol I main Inferno Scorpion and 214>teleport, 21>DB4 is a stricter link so I consider this a piece of cake. Now letting them fall down low enough to use a full F214 into slide is another matter, so I think F21>Slide is more consistent.

Reptile is way too meter dependent and should really save it for wakeups and EXKlaw.

Is the dash after F412 supposed to whiff so I can continue with F421? Also what's Flip?? :confused:

I actually came up with almost all of these when building off Sage's stuff. At least my mind set is there. Thanks! I'll work on anything I missed.

Yep, the dash will put you on the opposite side of your opponent while they're still soaring through the air, allowing you to either NJP (post patch), 21, F412, etc. etc.

I almost always use F21 1+3 b/c it lets me corpse hop easily or b34 them.

I don't like the heavy damage reduction on nearly all enders unless in the corner for the Poison Gas.7% is a lot of damage to sacrifice especially considering Reptile's options in oppening the opponent up. Will also edit my post I forgot some stuff

Well, like I said... I don't lose 7% b/c my combo does 34% lol

But I get what you're saying. And I need to end with F412 into acid balls more than I do.

Also Slide ender grants enough advantage for a corpse hop regardless of wake-up options

I don't like using meter for combo-filler unless it kills or after a midscreen B2.

Lastly, I wouldn't recommend ending combos with Slowball unless EX. There is nothing to gain from it

b1d4xxFB, njp, f41, f412xxslide %35 meterless- i like this one because no run cancel needed, which helps online.

you should probably add something about dash combo ending in the corner so
f412 bf2,141, d1, d1, f412 bf4 is good meterless

I find b2 21 141, f412 super inconsistent and weird to time as well, so I typically do b2, 141, d1 x2, f412 slide for 1 or 2 percent less, but that's just me.

another good corner combo where I think meter is somewhat worth it is b2, 21, f41 ex fastball, d2, f412 slide for 40% if you wanted to finish off a round or whatever.
