[Aug 16, 2013] Galloping Ghost Arcade - MK9 Low Tier Tournament 8/15/2013 (Brookfield, IL)

[GGA HAN]

Tonight at approx. 9pm Central, Galloping Ghost Arcade (GGA) will be hosting a Mortal Kombat 9 tournament. However, this tournament will be different than any other, because top and mid tier characters will be banned! Here is the list of characters that will be allowed at the tournament:

Baraka, Jade, Kano, Nightwolf, Noob Saibot, Quan Chi, Rain, Scorpion, Sheeva, Sindel, Stryker, Sub-Zero, Cyber Sub-Zero

Also, you are not allowed to use any of these characters if you have mained them at one point in time.

We will be streaming the nights festivities, of course, to our regular Twitch channel:

In addition, we'll be joined by former MK9 Low Tier Hero and Scorpion of the World - GGA Slips, who will be commentating tonight -- potentially with a special NRS guest who may be in attendance!

Who will be the king of the fish? Will GGA Dizzy remain on his tear of Chicago locals, or will GGA pimpimjim's erratic fighting style work to earn him a Win? Can Wafflez finally win his first local with his intimidation factor alone? Will GGA 16 Bit be able to overcome the odds, being a die-hard character specialist for so long? And will other low tier heroes like ImNewbieSauce be able to show their devotion and step up and prove themselves?

Good stuff guys, very fun to watch and this is the kind of thing that keeps an almost 3 year old game fresh and fun. You should do more special streams with MK9 like this or even bring back the GGA challenge tower like you did with Slips that one time.

Congrats to GGA Dizzy for proving that rain has way too much armor and damage for a low tier tournament ^_^

Shoutouts to my boy Wafflez for dropping the 22, slide at the end of that sub zero combo which (i think) would have beaten Dizzy lol
