I would really like to record this, but I don't have a decent recording device. Anyway, here goes, maybe someone can shoot this movie.
This strategy is still a theory because I don't have a human Kabal to work with, but it is 100%. First, this is viable for the most part when Kabal is in the 3/4 of the arena, close to the corner. What you do is hit him with anything trying to end in b32 or 23f2 and cancel these strings in en-straight rang. The first rang will go over Kabal, the second comes back later, so it negates the invincible frames of any of Kabal's wake-up options. Right after Jade recovers from the en-rang you flash and hold block and then react to Kabal's follow-ups:
- wake-up dash/en-dash - hits your block + gets hit by the returning rang + jip, b1 full combo punish;
- wake-up saw/en-saw - goes through your flash + gets hit by the returning rang + jip, b1 full combo punish;
- wake-up overhead/en-overhead (no reason to do because he will be far away, but you never know who you play) - gets hit by the returning rang + jip, b1 full combo punish;
- blocks low - is drawn towards you while you jip, b1 full combo punish;
- rolls back - gets in the corner and no matter what he does after he gets hit by the returning rang and you follow-up from there with a corner combo;
- delays wake-up - you have full time to staff-overhead or approach with flashkick.
This can be applied to a lot of the roster, but it has nuances, like you have to block low for SZ and Reptile or you can just jip no matter what with Ermac.
Keep in mind that you don't have to always flash after en-rang (only for Kabal, Noob and Sindel as they have projectile wake-ups), but flashing is something you have to learn to do consistently + it adds a lot to the meter (2% of a bar LoL).
