Sonixfox is just hard to read. I played against other ESL finalist and guy played Scorpion. I lost almost everything because I couldn't guess right.

the same story is with sonic fox. He can cancel 2112 into sand bomb or command grab or something else. You must guess all the time.

sonic Fox doesnt do random stuff, all he does has a purpose, so you can read him. if you read him, you can win. what makes it so hard to beat him is that he counter-adapts after you read him, so downloading him once doesnt win you a set. thats what most top players lost to so far.

SonicFox's neutral game is one of the best I've played so far in MKX. You need very good footsies and a powerful neutral game to have success with Erron Black so it's a perfect fit for him, IMO. To me, SonicFox isn't this "YOLO run up or jump mash random attacks" player some of you think he still is from his gameplay in the past. He's way better now and you guys will see when you're forced to play the neutral with him this time around. His footsies are devastating.

Anyway, you heard it from here first. It's time to adapt and come up with a new blueprint to fight the new and evolved omega Fox.

Problem is, his own reads and tactics are so ahead and he got multiple sets of it that people struggle to adapt.

Sonicfox is so ahead of the competition that in a set with more games than just FT2 or FT3 (FT10 for example) he would be nearly invincible. I have not heard of anyone moneymatching him, and there is a reason for that; most of the top players except DJT, Honeybee and maybe Foxy would probably lose 10-2. Should I also mention that Sonic doesn't even need a top tier to destroy the scene?

Yes....Sonicfox can be beaten
Yes....He is arguably (or just hands down) the best MK competitor in the world
Yes....I believe he is not in his prime
Yes.....That shyt is scary ^
And lastly whether you respect him or dont, hes most likely beaten you or will in the future. And that kind of popularity ( or hate or whatever you want to call it) is currently un matched.....xcept maybe the YOMI crew.

@STORMS came in with the blowups.

When I saw sonic play I noticed some of his opponents would "breakdown" at neutral or a near neutral state. Also he does the number one tactic of "If one mixup works, Don't stop until you have to." I saw him hit with certain strings/cancels/mixups multiple times that wasn't the immaculate 21122 string. Kitana allows him to get you to fuck up midscreen and EB allows him to really force the fuckup or just flat out win with setups/damage/unblockable damage. Oh yeah and people need to study the Kitana matchup which I don't know if that will happen because I'm wondering how much studying was done on the EB matchup. I say if someone really brushed up on their fundamentals they could have a nice chance at beating sonicfox. Unless they get low health and he throws out caltrops.

I'd really like to see SF play a more "tame" fighter but it's probably not his style. SG and MK both encourage massive rewards on capitalizing on your opponent's mistakes. I do like SG more though I need to get back into watching that.

I think we just need to accept we'll all be playing for 2nd place when SonicFox is playing a tourney. It won't last though, he'll get tired of all the EVO money eventually

I was sure you get the evo man, what you feel about your matches against him ? Personally I think the problem is bad defense because you play KL, you sure like this char, by the way KL is in TOP 3 for sure that's why all KL have good XP for aggressive rushdown play style and everyone forgot about block. If I'm right, you blocked only once his F1,3. Anyway I think you are a smart guy and will learn from this for future. And yes you did it, you proved you're the best KL in the WorlD. GL hope we will have to play once on ps4
