Thanks for the advice. I'll tap forward before continuing my attacks off of db1. This will definitely fix it!

Command grabs only work up close. Scorpion's hellfire is a threat at any distance. Ares' teleport is much slower than Scorpion's. If any grapple characters had an unblockable special that would force me to jump into them constantly, then yes, command grabs would be a problem, too.

Ares' teleport starts up faster actually. It just doesn't leave the screen as fast,

It's still easier to react to and it doesn't cause damage. I don't know the matchup that well, but as I understand it, you can't cancel into Ares' teleport after pretty much everything (like Scorpion's). Jump? Teleport. Hit? Teleport. Blocked hit? Teleport.

Ares' attack is a threat when you're neutral (when you're watching for it). Scorpion's attack is a threat 100% of the time, and when you try to watch for it, you get hellfired.

Ares' teleport is pretty threatening I'd say. You have to be looking for it to punish it and that opens him up to a plethora of other options.

They're just not as good at what Scorpion has,

This is just a misconception as I've proven that Ares has options against F23 breath pressure that leads to full combos. I also tried F23 breath, F23 breath against Alucard and he stuffed it for 30 percent. Ares is not helpless to this pressure and I wish people would stop saying he is.

In all honesty, I never really doubted what they were doing with the changes. Like, a lot of the changes they've done so far are a lot less balance changes and a lot more of fixing stuff that either got overlooked before released, or they didn't have enough time to fix.

Good. But not enough. I'll never be satisfied until Aquaman's trait remains unchanged. I mean either remove the ability to use it while being combo'ed or raise it's cooldown to like 12 seconds and lower the durability to like 1 sec. Until something like that happens Aquaman will always be unbalanced imo.

Lobo's problems are widely known. Only the idiots who don't use him keep shouting he's fine. He's not fine. At all.

Ever since week 1 any person who tried to main him knew his problems.

Many have been vocal. Most gave up due to NRS simply not caring at all.

Out of the 3 dlc characters we got so far, he's the only one who didn't release broken at all. He was released bottom tier. And out of those 3 he has been consistedly the only one not getting anything in every patch.

His chains are unsafe. His projectile is ridiculously bad. Sf4 Dan tier.

He has no wake-up move.

His MB b f +3 doesn't have armor until his chain hits the ground. Then has one hit of armor for less than a second.

b+1, 2, requires an instant frame link in order to be used as a combo starter.
b+2, u+1 CAN BE BACKSTEPPED MID LINK. Not to mention how ridiculously slow the damn link is.

He is meter heavy.

His moveset has two good things. His 3. And his jump d+3. Other than that? Nothing that everyone else doesn't have too and better.

That's not to say you can't win with the character. You can. You can with against any character. You just have to work 4 times as hard. But I guess that justifies no buffs to some people.

I'd rather trade some of his damage potential for the chance to be able to follow b+1,2 with a jump 2 for a combo.

That alone would move him up in tiers.

I didn't say he didn't have issues, I said they're SLOWLY patching the game. I'm sure Lobo will be addressed in great length soon.

glad they fixed some problems and improved something, but they changed characters too much, how the fuck can i play the game, they "fixed" it even more than they did with mk9 imo.

As an Aquaman player, it is NOT a "get out of jail free card" like everybody says. Even though you can activate it on reaction, it's most effective on a good read. Most of the cast can juggle Aquaman by the time that his trait would kick in if activated on reaction. The only player that I kind of feel is "robbed" by Aquaman's trait is Batman. You can block his b112 or 223 on reaction with his trait.

On that note, I don't feel too badly. Aquaman's normals are highly unsafe, and a lot of them are slower than Batman's. He needs his trait to remain decent. And Batman has to be stopped somehow.

Barely any characters received huge changes outside of the d.2 buff which could be huge for some.

You haven't even seen the patch, can you not.
