loops are repetitive. BG, KF, and Scorps "vortexes" are more like loops because they can continue with the same 50/50 predicament over and over. In games like streetfighter, the vortexes have more than two options b/c they are off of a hard knockdown. You have wake up options and some characters can fully escape these vortexes in SF. In IGAU, because you are in hit stun and not waking up, your only option is to guess high or low block and you can be looped into the same predicament w/o ever being knocked down and having the option to wake up and reduce the 50/50 to at least a 33/33/33.

BG can do it meterless, but Scorps and KF require meter. The problem is they are constantly building meter every time they touch you and it can literally result in a touch of death if you guess wrong a few times.

I'm confused. One moment, you guys are speaking out for the community, but the next, the community doesn't know what they're talking about.
HIS MOVES ARE NOT UNSTOPPABLE! Play defensively and react, THATS how you beat him. His teleport is HELLA punishable, ESPECIALLY if you block it. But you don't have to. Make them regret using the teleport, and it'll open up the rest of your game.

Please post a video of you beating someone who plays Scorpion as well as REO plays him so the community can level up.

I fucking hate that they hide behind "the community" ... and then they bitch about the community non stop.

The whole "community" concept needs to stop. I'm so fucking sick of hearing Tom open his fucking mouth about "the community" this and that, when in reality its a select few people saying shit....Yet he proceeds to put the entire scene on blast.

Shut your fucking mouth with this "community" bullshit. This is a huge group of people with vastly different playstyles, skill level, and views on the game... Stop trying to pigeonhole it.

Everytime you put the "community" on blast you insult myself and every other person that plays this game. (most of whom have nothing to do with what your bitching about)

Great post. This happens alot on tym, generalising, and as you said, tom brady is a perfect example of it and i feel that hes kinda making the new members talk like him and its getting really annoying. But its not only new members doing this tough.

So far the "trait only" poll has brought up a lot of really good discussion that breaks down his tools and how that would effect Scorpion's play both positively and negatively...its a tossup if its an overnerf idea or not though.

If they dont go trait only I'm betting some of the following happens to him in a patch.

  • hellfire changed to a low so if they see you trying to scout it with crouch blocks they cant just force you to stand with hellfires
  • teleport changed back so it doesn't whif and is more punishable on block
  • no longer +9 on MB
  • cannot do it on whif or block in the air only raw or on hit
  • cannot do it during block strings
  • no invincibility on wakeup.
