No way Black Manta is getting in.


And I actually think he's a cool character, there just isn't much for him to do.


Aquaman at least has enough things to work with, Manta on the other hand is pretty average outside of the sea and without standard weaponry.

The only thing he really has is a jetpack and eye lasers(depending on which interpretation the use).

I hope other places get some pre-order goodies too. I opted to go for free To-home shipping with Wal-mart, but it'd be nice to get some goodies too. I plan on maining WonderWoman and all of her manface unless Raven is confirmed playable, in which WW will still be my secondary.

Got my doubts on Black Manta cause Aquaman will already use hookblades cause his triad is not enough gameplay source,
both Shazam and Black Adam is not gonna happen cause they're really the same powers and before anyone comes up with
the Ryu/Akuma stuff than don't forget Superman is already Ryu and i think Black Adam would be a better Akuma than Shazam
but maybe they'll share one slot with two voices or something like that.
Red Hood has the same weapons as Deathstroke and even Dino said he can't see him different so that means something....
Replace Black Manta and Red Hood with some more girls like Starfire and Hawkgirl and this roster is perfect!

I really wasn't planning putting Black Adam on there, but I felt the need to include him seeing as how I truly believe that he will SOMEHOW be in the game. If not his own character, then an alt costume.



Red Hood was the last person I put on there. I only did so due to his enormous fan support. While I agree with Dino that Deathstroke has sort of put the lockdown on guns, there are still ways to make Red Hood play differently. But in the end, I can personally live with or without him.


My thing with Starfire is that if they include her, it would feel really lame to exclude Beast Boy. I am certainly not the kinda guy that bases his knowledge off of the animated shows, but I believe that the Teen Titans show is THE reason why Raven is in. And because of that, it only seems fair to include all five...... Of course, that brings into question how the hell Beast Boy would even play.

Maybe but if Shazam and Adam are one slot with a voice edit and Hawkgirl gets added than you have almost the same and 6 females like MK.

Honestly, at this point we're overanalyzing. We need a hard number for this roster before we can accurately fill in the blanks. :p

This is a bunch of educated spitballing. :p

Yeah could be 26 instead of 28 to cause all we know is that they have more than 24 characters but my opinion remains with Hawkgirl,
we gotta have 6 girls on the roster so if Black Adam still becomes one slot with Shazam and Red hood goes we have 26 characters.
I think it's 26 cause they said with 12 they aren't even halfway yet but at 13 they stopped until 2013 with the announcements.

but in anyway, im sure Powergirl is in with all taht teasing so i say she deserves a slot

im doubt MM due to him being put in the same sentence as Hawkman, why did Boon need to say its not MManhunter, instead of someone else, im beginning to doubt him being playable

i think ya roster is pretty sweet, but ambitious with 30 slots, hopefully we get 28 as ya said

They don't mean Ryu/Akuma like that, Supes is the Ryu(all around good, easy to use). They mean Ryu/Akuma as in one is a tad bit different than the other.


Supes and Capt. Marvel are definitely not similar enough for that, they both can fly and have super strength and speed but thats about where the power similarities end. And all three of those powers are very general and can be implanted in a bunch of different ways. For example with super strength one guy can just do a bunch of damage with slow attacks, another can rip out chunks of earth and use them as projectiles, another guy could be a grappler that throws around people as if they weighed less than a grain of rice.

I'm probably wrong on this one but do all the human males (superman, batman, nightwing, flash, green lantern, etc) have the same character models?
Superman doesn't look very big muscularly nor does batman even though he was hulked out in Arkham City. It seems like they're all the same size in the most recent trailer. I know characters like grundy and luthor are significantly different in size but it seems like NRS has returned to defaulted character models where possible. They made a mention somewhere that characters would be pretty different from each other in this respect, but I can't see it. I would like to see each character model created from scratch instead of building off a template.

Yeah, I never really noticed how bland MK was until I played other fighting games. They look the same to me too.

Everyone in MK9 shared models because of fatalities, every single fatatility has to work on every character, if everyone had there own unique model, it would probably take forever and then some, to animate everything.

So far all the male characters are of similar size and shape, because that's generally how they are in the comics. We really don't need Batman to look like AC, that shit is gross.

it's probably the costume. the arkham city model looks more muscular

THE CLASH SYSTEM


1. after your first life bar is gone you can clash, which can break almost any combo (sans supers some meter burned specials ect). then during the clash you can use your meter to do damage if you were clashed or to regain regain health if you started it

2. you can only clash once you still can spend meter in to deal/heal damage

DOUBLE KO

1. double ko is awesome you get back up both on danger

2. there is no double ko maxter you get back up with 10% health when it happens then 5% then 1% or something like that
