I only say that Scorp may need a slight buff of some sort (safety, dmg, etc) ONLY on the grounds that in current state IF we see ANY pro play him at all, we will ONLY see Misery Blade builds with ZERO variation and it will get insanely boring fast I think.
Yeah that’s fine with me. I really don’t know what they could do for you not to want to use Misery Blade. Without it Scorpion is probably not going to see any tournament play. With it you’ll probably see him often. Scorpion with MB is a very solid character.
Yes, it’s very unfortunate that you NEED MB. I completely understand. But, again, I don’t mind it. Probably because I use it in all my variations, lol. It’s so damn fun to use!
Side note, played a very good Baraka just before I left to go to the airport (at the airport now). He wasn’t falling for any of my mixups, frame traps, was teching most of my throws, was break awaying at the right times, was using wakeups, was playing footsies, etc. We went even, 5-5 then I had to leave. Even though Baraka can’t sit there and zone Scorpion, at certain range it’s hard to react teleport Baraka’s projectile (because of the teleport startup). And he wasn’t falling for ANY of my Misery Blade cancels or mixups. So I can tell you right now that Scorpion should never ever get nerfed in this game. He will only maybe get buffs. But Misery Blade definitely has a lot of gaps even if you cancel it then do a d1.
I’ll get more games in with him (that player) when the game launches. We added eachother, it’s very clear when you run into another good competitive minded player. So I always says GGs to them and add them.
