Kung lao in my opinion is the best overall character in the game.

Although tanya and Quan are a toss up for who would come next

Hmm. I don't know. Granted, Summoner zoning is certainly better, but you can play outside B2 range with Hellsparks for sure. Plus, b3 is only -11. Quan's best punish is stand 2 at 8 frames and I remember reading that Shinnok can space it to make it safer.

You can't rely on hell sparks much in this MU because one bad hell spark and you're gonna get punished heavily into the vortex. You must have a bar of meter every time you go for a hell spark, and BS is way too reliant on meter to have a bar whenever he wants.

B3 isn't used as often with BS as in Impostor, due to having no vortex. It's kindda too slow to be used in neutral, and I use it mostly only in the corner on oki.

i didnt vote because im not up to date on the meta, but i feel like shinnok could be a candidate for best character if defensive options were slightly better and if you can get a mimic after EX shoulder

For everyone saying Lao smh, have you never played a good Cassie? She has pretty much all the same tools as Lao and she has either near unblockables in the corner with spec ops, 50/50 vortex with hollywood, and her armor move is safe. Personally i'd much rather take shitty only high hitting hat pressure from Lao.

EX flip, tiny hit box, so while safe is not as much of an offensive or even defensive tool as lao's spin. For example I'm minus and decide to ex flip to get you pressing buttons, but despite making the right read it will miss at any other range than point blank. Also on wake-up depending on character/set-up you can literally just run in JIP and punish flip. It's not a complete get out of jail free card...

"into vortex with a bar" is pretty good but not as great in this game since without that bar her 50/50 is massively punishable. Also many character have meterless vortex's and better oki games without spending bar.

B1 is 11 frames not 10, b12(4) has a gap so you can punish her for trying to get plus frames. and b12 is negative 7 meaning it's your turn to push buttons. I will not deny b1 is god tier though.

5 frame punisher that's 0 on block? what version of the game is this? I don't even know what you're talking about. Her fastest moves are her 6f standing 2 which is high and her 6f flipkick, which is negative as hell.

"6f pokes d1 and d3" plain wrong , d1 is like 8 frames, d3 is 7 with stubby range. she has no 6 frame poke. But her d4 is 8 and has great range.

First of all her JIP in 6f and second if you think her jip is better than sonya's or lao's you're on something mate, lao's hits from 3/4 screen away!

Obviously a great character but she has no where near the dirt of half the people on this list. Quan has a meterless vortex that does more damage, and can be made plus!

regarding frames i might have tweaked a little cus ...salt but only by a frame and you can't say lao's jip is better than hers, they're good in different scenarios.
i believe you under played the hell out of ex flip kick but that's just me
don't really want to argue cus this sin't a nerf/buff thread but i really do think you're down playing her like how can u say ex-flip kick is not as much a defensive tool as lao's spin.

Tier placement shouldn't be determined by the number of winning match-ups.
They should be determined by the number of losing match-ups.

Batman in injustice had near no loosing matchups and endless 5-5s. Wasn't top tier.

Its difficult to do a tier list purely on winning loosing matchups. Realistically you should do general matchup numbers to see whos better in general then compare matchups of the top 10 vs each other IMO.

Lao has near no bad matchups vs anyone so is clearly #1

Predator can't be top as he gets shut down by a nunber of top tier characters etc but hes probably got more winning matchups than characters that could be considered higher.

While I'm pretty sure Quan can't punish a max range/meaty B3, the problem is that Shinnok loses regular F22 in Bone Shaper, the best conversion he can get from that situation is to run in and F4xxSpecial, provided he has sufficient stamina ready.

Kung lao has really good offense but i think quan chi has better with the bat and all but considering you pressure quan so much he wont have the bat, either way to me deping on whos handling theyre at an even level mostly, kung lao is barely brewing over, kung lao pressure in the corner is crazy but so is quan
quans combos do alot of damage during his vortex, basically every time you guess wrong you eat a 35-50% atleast

The last part is true, but as for tanya, i watch her play against other characters and i have thought about how she matches up against others. I don't see weaknesses. You can called me biased if you like but it's unfair to basically restrict me from saying she is the best because I have lost a couple of sets to her.
