I was trying to be humble

You were being typical conceded pretentious "I wrote the god damn book on footsies and I'm better than everyone " Woundcowboy

Not a likable quality
Wound is the type of guy to get mopped 5 tournaments in a row, and stay super quiet on the internet not saying anything. Then he finally has a breakthrough at one tournament.... BAM!!!!

Starts talking down to people, starts trying to regulate shit on TYM. Starts acting like he is the all-knowing being of matchups and tiers. Chill with that.

Remember who your tournament master is

To be fair though, winning the Superbowl is the result of:
-Having a top record in your division in the regular season to make the playoffs
-Outlasting the rest of the playoff field over multiple weeks to make the Superbowl
-Playing better on the day of the Superbowl

Placing at EVO is the result of:
-Playing really well on the day of EVO pools

While I still think EVO should count for more based on what it is, it should definitely not be considered the Superbowl of fighting game play, since it's one isolated tournament on one day + finals, and not the culmination of a full season of competitive play.
This RIGHT HERE TIMES A MILLION!

The only laughing stock in this thread is the guy who gets paid to compete and can't make it to pools on time. If they are being honest, there is no one in this thread who would give you any chance against me. I made more money last weekend than you will in your entire MKX career. You beat me twice in injustice and once i learned the match, you couldn't get games. I've won a major, something that you will never do for the rest of this game. You will continue to sneak into top 8s and then get clowned by the real killers like me, fox and denzell. Have a nice day.
:)
DAMMMNNN cowboy with them shots lol

king stop being a fuccboi
Revolver. Fuccboi lol funny
Yes, 20+ top 8s with weak comp, free pools and winning 7-3 matchups, just like MK9 and Injustice. Your resume is padded.

There's a reason you place and then get clowned on when you play fox, denzell, theo, and jupiter in tournament. You've never been the man, you'll never be the man.

Also, please take the MK9 top 5 thing out of your signature because it is not, and has never been true.
More shots shots shots.

Cowboy is really good though, one of the few ppl i can barely get 1 game off of.

If King v Cowboy happens offline, wherever it happens, just make sure it's streamed. I'm sure AT&T will have my ass hemmed up somewhere so I won't be able to see it personally :confused::confused:

The problem with your football analogy is that, you forget those random six seeds (Pittsburgh and NYG being the most recent ones), who squeak into the playoffs, and wreck shit while there, gotta take those into consideration also ;-)

I've read REO and PL's (!) names... If MK9 never existed there is no way you guys would be mentioning them. Kinda odd that guys like MIT and HoneyBee would consistently place and even win majors/non majors only for others to be named based on reputation.

That said, it would be hype to see REO and PL return to form. KTP kinda touched on that in the recent episode. REO's not too far off, but Carl seems like he has a lot of catching up to do.

@Pig Of The Hut HELLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

3 of your top 5 have never beaten me in tournament before. There isn't enough Yomi in your top 5.

I'm gonna be honest. Based on results, the only possible top 5 any person can give for MKX is Sonicfox and 4 Yomi players. There is no other exception. There is no player on the planet earth I would put above Yomi players besides Sonicfox, results-wise at least
I don't think head to head record is how it goes. Even if these players have never beaten you, if they went deeper in more tournaments, have had better results, they're ahead of you. Otherwise there was never a debate to be had in MK9 and PL was always ahead of REO, which isn't true.

Also, his list has 2 YOMI players, your most consistent two. That's two out of five. Basically two out of 4 because Sonic Fox is a lock for the first position. What more do you want? Honeybee has a major, plenty of top 8's and a top 3 at EVO, while Foxy Grampa is making plans to send his inexistent kids to college due to his multiple placings. If you called him YOMI Foxy Grampa and kept his results exactly the same would he qualify to make the list? I've got a ton of respect for Slayer, Michael Angelo and yourself but which of these guys deserve to be ahead of Honeybee or Foxy?

I agree with you that consistency matters, except those guys have been ultra consistent. It's not like they fluked out one big tournament. You can't equate tournaments. A local is different than a major, irrespective of players involved, because in locals not as much is on the line, people play each other every week, they might try out different shit/characters, play a little more relaxed, etc... A major is when the pressure is on and what people are made of is revealed. EVO is even a step above that.

Let's take a look at my tournament results and see how you guys compared. I'm not going to include DJT nor MIT because I personally would rank them higher than myself anyways.

I understand that you guys have competed in much more tournaments than myself or the rest of the community in general so you have more placings and more opportunities to place but if we're gonna compare tournament results that we both attended, I'm certainly more consistently in the top. Out of you three, I only see REO as arguably having better results but I beat him at the major I won, outplaced him significantly at EVO, and I'm up 3-1 on him in tournament sets, so I think that's enough to push me past him.

My top 5 are:

1) SonicFox
2) Foxy
3) DJT
4) MIT
5) HoneyBee

If you honestly think Foxy doesn't deserve to be Top 5, you're incredibly ignorant.

I've been arguing this with everyone so it's pointless now, I'll just make this one last post in this thread tonight then I'm done.

Foxy's placings in Europe are hard to judge, I didnt watch a single European tournament. But apparently he's a god in Europe, so sure out him in the top 5.

But Honeybee doesn't have a better resume than me MIT or DJT. Idk how top 3 at one tournament is better than top 8 every single tournament since the game's release.

If we compare them not counting locals then it's different. I thought we were only counting Toryuken, Combo Breaker, Midwest Championships TCW, ECT, CEO, and EVO.

It depends if we count The Break/Next Level or don't count them

I can understand making the argument wound isn't top 5 and I agree with that, but honestly saying you're more accomplished than Honeybee? He even listed all the results a few posts prior, damn dude there's a line...

Please look up a tournament that doesn't have at least 3 Yomi in top 8. It's just hard to believe we've been dominating everything since the game came out and we don't make up most of the top

So are you shilling your team or shilling yourself in this thread? No one argues Yomi is not strong here, but Honeybee is hella consistent and strong - asking most top players if not all would agree that he's better than you and results speak for that as well. Honeybee is solid top 5, but I see your arguments regarding other peoples placements and results.
