Shinnok has a hard time dealing with pressure. Yes he has a good D1, but D1 hellsparks is punishable by most of the cast, people just are not familiar with it yet. If an armored move get blocked or whiffed they are both SUPER punishable.

He isn't top 10. What most people don't realize is that he does not get a guaranteed mixup after hell sparks, the only thing guaranteed option is the low. If he does ANYTHING else, the opponent can backdash or armor to blow him up. He spends a bar on hell sparks to put himself at risk. Shinnok also has a ton of trouble safely building meter except in boneshaper where his footises are not as strong because he loses his F2 string. Most people do not play this match correctly.
It's still a situation you're at a huge advantage in, yeah the low is the guaranteed mixup option but that's why you start conditioning and make reads on backdash & armor. I think Shinnok is being overrated a bit but I think he's definitley Top 10, would just switch him & Erron.

I have labbed him and still have absolutely no idea what Jacqui can do in this MU. Even as Kenshi I feel pressured although at least I have options. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, what can Jacqui do about Liu Kang?
You're seriously ridiculous lol. The Goro community REGULARLY complains about how bad he is. Just be honest with yourself and stop promoting dishonest propaganda. I have not seen anybody argue he was good anywhere in recent memory. Saying a character isn't the worst also isn't saying they're good. Mentioning a character is very safe when the character is, is not dishonest. A character can have some good tools and still be on the lower end of tiers.
I'm really failing to see how putting your opponent in a situation where you're at advantage is a big risk, plus seeing how the low is guaranteed it makes throw even better because they'll wanna sit there & block.
First of all my thread wasn't a BUFF thread, they were ideas that I and other players had, not once did I say the character needed these changes to be viable, as he is viable in his current build right now.
Because anything besides the low gets blown up for a full combo. People can also afford to take the risk because shinnok does less damage than most characters.
Doesn't Boneshaper get 1 bar mid 30's damage into a restand? I mean yeah people can take a risk but theyy're taking a bigger risk than you & I don;t see how the throw isn't a guaranteed option after the hellsparks if the throw.
