People are getting better and better. At one point they were unsure if 22f is reactable. Then they improved and called 18f borderline reactable. Now they are reacting to 10f throws.
Well then, it's official, guys, MKX has no mixups, every OH/low is reactable.

Seriously though, you still have to guess side when being thrown.

Furthermore, tell us why he isn't bad...
Because he can teleport on or impale stuff behind clone :DOGE

His special movewhere he thows his fireball up from the ground seem alot faster than Shang Tsung's in MK9.
They seem to be. Although Shang's skull was +2 on block while hellsparks... yeah.

out of all the characters ive had experience with in this game (granted there are a handful of characters i haven't really played as/fought against), shinnok and takeda are the only 2 characters that come across as weak to me. is he completely not tournament viable, no idea, but you certainly have a lot stacked up against you when you pick shinnok. i love the character and hes def my favorite in the game, but i just decided to grow a pair and play a different character for now.
 
i just went to the lab and found out you can Njp btw 224 mimic and full combo punish shinnok you can even just interrupt it with a 7 frame attack and full combo punish. Teleport is still useless= Uppercuts kills it and Quan can njp on reaction and full combo punish

teleports are kinda bad but they're okay after a knockdown. really only time you can apply it other than on reaction to them doing something, which its usually unreliable

Even tho I main Shinnok in made top 8 with him on ESL, He still the worst characters in the game hands down. The only thing that Shinnok need a buff is his 312 combos need a mixup why because his 3 look like it hit low attack but it a mid need to be a low buff. His 1 look like a overhead attack but it a mid attack need a overhead buff. that the only things that need a buff. Other then that he fine.

Wrong. Just because a move looks like it hits low or overhead doesn't mean that's what he needs.

What he needs is hell sparks being safe on block and that's all. Give me that and Bone Shaper will be ridiculous.

Naw I don't think hell sparks need a buff. That will be to braindead and op.

i think theres more to it than that. i also feel like his teleport in impostor needs to be slightly faster and his bones in necromancer need to track better/have more active frames. however,i do agree that his normals for the most part are fine. i do think f22 should be slightly faster (maybe a frame or 2) and shouldn't be able to low profile under. giving him an overhead starter would be cool but i not sure if he really needs it, they just need to make his actual zoning tools do what they're intended to do.

nah it definitely wont be OP. the nature of the move forces it to be unsafe at certain ranges, so you need to actually space your sparks in order to be safe. however, i do agree that it would be braindead, but that doesn't necesarilly mean its OP. there are a ton of characters i would consider to be braindead from all the other games i play (not really doing to mention characters in mkx because a lot of them i still dont have a solid feel for) that nobody at all considers to be OP. case and point is honda in usf4, who a lot of (crazy) people think is bottom 5. however, his gameplan is mad straight forward, he only really uses a handful of moves and the few options he has are really good options. another example can be doomsday, who kinda just bullied the hell out of people with a few moves and was pretty much always looking to go ham. end of the day, i definitely wouldn't have considered doomsday to be OP.

Even tho Shinnok sucks on everything, the only things that he good is spacing and overwhelm his opponent. That why I feel like his Imposter Variation probably his best one because unless the opponent neture jump while waiting for the telelport, Shinnok can't not get punish at all.

you can d2 teleports if you just do it straight up in neutral like that. works every single time with every teleport in the game unless its an EX version with armor with the exception of displacer raiden as far as i know. i agree with you that impostor is probably his best but thats mostly because he has somewhat of a vortex (at least something that creates some sort of mixup) and gets a damage buff after a stolen move. however, i think the teleport is kinda meh

Dude that's the problem with NRS and I seriously don't get it. Move hit location not matching with actual animation (MK9 Nightwolf F3, MKX Kano B1, etc.)
 
I think air Tele should be faster, to punish projectiles more easily.

Hell sparks to be safe on block but in exchange to be avoidable by jumping the next hit.
- this would give a mix up for the meter burn and more combo potential


Perhaps better meter building in all variations

My biggest issue besides the faulty mids in the middle of his strings and his safety, is his footsie tools other than B3 are all stuck in one gear.

B1 is 16 frames, F3 is 16, F2 is 17, 4 is 16 frames and B2 sucks six dicks. Just make one of those options (other than B2 mind you) a little quicker and we're good at that point.

Also, it's time for either an overhead or a zoning buff of some sort. Otherwise he won't be able to hang with everyone else by the time all the patching is done.

While I agree he needs buffs I feel safe on block hell sparks might be too good. But then again I thought Lobo would be broken when I first saw his buffs so idk. Either way, I really like Shinnok, this guy just clicks with me.
