Block Breakers Confirmed in Mortal Kombat

Rip Torn

ALL I HAVE IS THE GREEN.
What I want to know is: Can you armor through these?

I'm cool with either answer, but if you can it will lead to some crazy hype matches!
I don't know, but possibly ex specials won't allow them to block break, sort of like combo breakers in MK9.

I did notice that D'Vorah still takes chip damage on the roundhouse, so specials with 1 hit that do alot of chip could stll kill you in a life or death situation.

Fujin and Ermac for MK 11
This won't be anything like the 3D games. The breaker with 2 bars often happened accidentally in Deception.

I think this is a waste of two bars unless you're literally on the 3rd round and going to die as a last resort, you're blocking and have full meter or two bars to spare. Otherwise, just use the normal breaker on hit or if you can afford eat the damage and save your meter.

Too old for this Shit
So they're sort of bringing back a function of the 3D MK breakers (which could be done at any time).

Interesting. I wonder if it still requires you to block properly before you can do it.
I hope so.. If not, 2 bars means a get out of jail free card, regardless.

@Rip Torn is the video/gif showing the block breaker mechanic or is it just a regular breaker? I was never sure if you could break the first hit in MK9.

I'd like to know what the reversal moves are about too.

Hopefully breakers aren't block + forward in MKX then. If I'm blocking an attack and press forward and get a block breaker, that would suck.

Cage ban wagon?
I'd like to say I've seen JIP broken in MK9, but I can't recall 100% to be honest.
You couldn't break on the first hit in MK9. There is some weird instances where you would be in hit stun from a move prior and be able to break a new combo starter.

For example if you get hit by cages f33 ex forceball and than after you let the forceballs hit you, you break a follow up f3. F3 does not technically combo with the forceballs, its a whole new string yet you can break

The example you're talking about is probably from some weird scenario like kabal doing an IAGB and hitting you with it, then jumping in for a jip starter. Because of the hitstun prior to the jip, the game allowed you to break

Same thing with jax's f4 energy wave ~ jip starter and many more that were in the game.

Costing 2 bars is pretty steep in my opinion.

It should be like how breakers were in MK vs. DCU where you are allotted a set amount each match.

What do you all think about that idea?
