The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Thread

At $150, it seems pricey (about the average price for a brand new modern japanese style stick) but to everyone I've seen try it at E3 this past week along w/ the report/review here, it seems well worth it. I'm sure a lot of MKX/KI3 players might be interested in it, or for other gaming needs, I'm definitely getting one. Check it out:

Microsoft's take on Scuf controllers. Been big in the shooting genre for a few years now. Pretty much standard equipment in competitive CoD. Here's Scuf's controller with either two or four map'able buttons on the back; cheaper than the elite either way and they can do it for both Xbone and PS4 controllers:

You can even send in your own controllers for them to mod for pretty cheap.

I had one for the 360 and it was good if you couldn't claw but it really only helps in games where you need your right thumb on the stick at all times; probably wouldn't be much help in fighting games.

Resolution through knowledge and resolve.
XB1's pad now would be tremendous if it didn't just stop being responsive after using it for a few months.

Why would I expect that this more expensive controller is going to last?

I think that $150 for a controller is a bit steep, regardless of what it offers. It should be $100 max, not more expensive than two $60 games after taxes. But hey, to each their own. I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there who plan to get it.

Its easier to claw than use back paddles on scuf. Hope the paddles are positioned better so that using the paddles won't interfere with your precision(right hand)

If it looks like shit it plays like shit.

MKX pad looked horrible but a gave it a try. Biggest mistake ever made, luckily I was able to return it in time.

The controller seems interesting especially the d pad, however I would rather wait for a better pad to come out. 150 doesn't seem worth the price of a controller.

so i guess the pad is finally out and we continue the discussion

150$ for a controller is imo too much - you could buy 2 ds4's for that
still due to esl, i guess it's worth a try..

has anyone had the chance to get their hands on one?
