Red Hot Sundays, Injustice Exhibition Results (10/19/14)

Blue Blurs for Life!
Apologies for the delay in bringing you these news, but we do have the results for last Sunday's Injustice exhibitions that were shared through @AK Pig Of The Hut's generosity. Not a moment has gone by when the stream chat didn't find itself arrested by the shock of what they witnessed. If you didn't get to join us that evening, do not fret - you can start catching up right here! Props go out to all those who participated and showed the Injustice community some amazing gameplay.

A special thanks to @Espio and @BillStickers for their assistance in gathering results before all the uploads below were released. I had to step away from the laptop that night to do some errands and they were gracious enough to keep me updated as Pig did, so everyone, give them a round of applause. :)

Now, let's get down to the good stuff!

RM SonicFox5000 vs. Kinetic Balding

RM SonicFox5000 (Batgirl): 5 vs. Kinetic Balding (Cyborg): 0

For the opening exhibition, Evolution 2014 champion RM SonicFox is greeted with a challenge from a fellow child warrior named Kinetic Balding. As of late, there had been much speculation over Cyborg's viability as a character, so this was one of many ways to answer that question. Unfortunately for the fans of their cybernetic Teen Titan, Sonic claims the set with a convincing 5-0.

P2W vs. RM Decay

P2W (Sinestro): 5 vs. RM Decay (Lobo): 0

Playing To W1n returns to the coliseum for a dirty brawl with RM Decay's Lobo. The sheer force of Sinestro's zoning game would prove to be hazardous to the Czarnian brawler...perhaps too hazardous, as proven by the result. Although all the matches were close, P2W tacks on another 5-0 win to his record. Having demonstrated such a strong showing last week, he is no doubt a big name that many aspiring competitors would aim to knock off his throne.

C88 WoundCowboy vs. Emperor Murk

C88 WoundCowboy (Sinestro): 3 vs. Emperor Murk (Nightwing): 5

Now this exhibition would prove to be a gemstone in Injustice history. After FOREVER EL1TE's efforts to prove that Nightwing vs. Sinestro wasn't a hopeless cause last weekend, Murk had made his attempt against P2W, with very positive results for him. This time around, C88 WoundCowboy would come forward to avenge his comrade's defeat. However, Cowboy fared ultimately no better than his ally, losing 3-5 to Murk. A celebratory pop-off rocked the Twitch TV chat like the eruptions of a volcano, as apologies were demanded by those who had been scorned for their faith in Nightwing.

RM Eldriken vs. AK RM Stormthegates

RM Eldriken (Doomsday): 3 vs. AK RM Stormthegates (Martian Manhunter): 0

With the conclusion of the previous exhibition, results went back to one side of the catapult. RM Eldriken and AK RM Stormthegates (who uses his General Aleco account to participate) are pitted against one another in a battle between two of RM's finest. Stormthegates was immediately encased in a corner crisis by his opponent and was unable to escape. Eldriken wins 3-0.

RM Billy Dha Kid vs. RM Biohazard

RM Billy Dha Kid (Solomon Grundy): 3 vs. RM Biohazard (Bane): 2

Once again, a battle between RM comrades unfolded between Billy Dha Kid and Biohazard, in a clash between two of the game's largest hitbox characters but also the heaviest hitters. This clash of titans came down to the final seconds on the clock, and when they expired, Billy Dha Kid took the win as he'd maintained a life lead over his opponent. Venom proves to be no match for the wrath of the undead!

C88 Dab vs. Emperor Jupiter

Red Hot Sunday Exhibition 10192014 Empr Jupiter vs C88 Dab.png

C88 Dab (Superman): 3 vs. Emperor Jupiter (Martian Manhunter): 5

Although Dab himself is a Martian Manhunter player, his distaste towards mirror matches drives him to bring out the Man of Steel against Emperor Jupiter. Those who followed what happened at EVO 2014 knew that this would be a rematch Jupiter had long desired since their excursion at Vegas. This time around, it would be Jupiter who emerges victorious 5-3. Dictator or not, Superman WILL listen to reason!

C88 Dab vs. AK EMPR Pig of the Hut

Red Hot Sunday Exhibition 10192014 C88 Dab vs AK EMPR Pig of the Hut.png

AK EMPR Pig of the Hut (Zod): 5 vs. C88 Dab (Martian Manhunter): 3

As the host of Red Hot Sundays comes forward for a taste of blood, Dab quickly switches back to his Martian Manhunter for a hopeful match-up advantage against Zod. However, this was a match-up Pig trained CONSTANTLY for ever since the release of the green alien warrior, and his 5-3 victory over Dab proves to be a testament to that training. Zod always wins!

AK EMPR Pig of the Hut vs. RM Eldriken

Red Hot Sunday Exhibition 10192014 RM Eldriken vs AK EMPR Pig of the Hut.png

RM Eldriken (Doomsday): 2 vs. AK EMPR Pig of the Hut (Zod): 9

Determined to bring about the Apocalypse in the DC universe, RM Eldriken comes back from the sidelines to do battle with the host. While his MB Venom is notorious for shattering one too many a zoning game, Pig continually evades Doomsday's rampage, eventually taking the set 9-2. The sun would see another day, but the rise of the moon, as always, is inevitable.

Skeezer12 vs. AK EMPR Pig of the Hut

Red Hot Sunday Exhibition 10192014 AK EMPR Pig of the Hut vs Skeezer12.png

AK EMPR Pig of the Hut (Zod): 12 vs. Skeezer12 (Sinestro): 5

For the final exhibition of the night, Pig would once again close it out with a bout against a Sinestro player, but neither WoundCowboy nor P2W would be his opponent this time. Instead, it is Skeezer12 who makes his debut as a faithful representative of the Sinestro Corps. He fares well, but Pig's in-depth knowledge of both these characters enables the host to maintain an iron grip throughout the set. Fear does prove triumphant, but not because of the light of the Yellow Lantern.

I'm just glad that I won two games against Pig. He normally beats me every single time. He even said that I'm getting better at the MU.
