Kano:Easiest player in the game to use?

I fought a good Kung Lao player for about 4 hours today and all he did the entire time we played was bitch about how cheap Kano is...even when his Spin negated my X-ray...

Yes his knives are spammeble, but you can just jump over them.
Yes upball is annoying, just don't give them the chance to do upball.
If upball is blocked, you can easily punish with a 30%+ combo.
and his combo's does need strict timing, like his F3B2 or something, followed up by 212 or so, strict timing, try it out,
Yes, his X-Ray is overpowered, but you can see it coming if you know him well, i think Reptile and such are OP, Reptile goes trough objectiles, Johnny Cages X-Ray can turn a game around, Ermac's X-Ray can easily comboed into for a 55%+ combo...
And i think NRS made his X-Ray 41& damage cause his EX moves are useless and waste of bars.

Haha I've been in that situation before. Just tell this player to play kano vs a good subzero, and then play kung lao vs his worst matchup......wait can anybody tell me who kung laos bad matchup is?

Watching people use Kano and its retarded. His knife has no recovery time so his zoning is amazing and the up ball is impossible to punish without a fast uppercut or special. and teleports to get in on him dont work cause if he is spamming the knife and you tele his up ball is the reverse input so it punishes your tele or moves out of the way of it. I know better players will be able to beat the scrub spamming Kanos but for people new to fighters and still learning Kano is a seriously OP character. Especially online. I know i will probly get flamed saying get better or dont play online but im not that good so i dont wanna try to go to tournaments and online is the only way to get a lot of matches and experience since im stuck in the middle of nowhere. Any thought on how to beat a spamming Kano online or just general thoughts about my point?

And dont get me started on the 41% xray that is also a grab. Which is easy to reach with his special spamming.

First ice clone and slide if Sub-zero is who you mainly use. Second Ermac is also one of the easiest characters in the game to use. (in my opinion)

I have to admit I was one of the Kano haters back then, His up ball may be the only easy move about him, maybe that and he doesnt have many special moves, but learning combos with him was hard, thats why I respect him now, it actually does require skill and patience.

Kano turned into some kind of "backup secret weapon" for scrubs, because once they start to lose 3,4,5 games in a row, some of them go directly to pick Kano, and since they know the basics of using him, and , try to use his UpBall, spamming or almost ...... this way Kano might pass a impression to be very "acessible and easy-going friendly to use" ......

False impression ? IDK, let Kano's specialists talk about it .....

IMO, Shang Tsung is one of the hardest to dominate in high level .... seeing the timing required to use him well, the way Alex Valle and Detroit Ballin took Shang into another level gameplay, you can see that Shang demands dedication to be mastered perfectly ..........

Trust me im still recovering from the shang tsung EPICness. but lets be honest you can spam any character. xbl trolls never dissapoint. Kano (like smoke) is easy for noobs to spam cheaply, but still shouldnt pose any problems. His high damage combos require skill though.

And you know what? I can't deny that I did use upball 10 times in two rounds. However, it was because you Mr. opponent, continued to walk right at me on knock down, and eat them on wake up. If you block me once or twice, I won't do it anymore. But if you continue to hover over me to unleash your wicked combo you learned from youtube, you will continue to eat them on wake up...every time. It's like being mad because when you stand block Milena hits you with the roll ball. What did you expect her to do? Continue to do her teleport while you stood there?

I'm still learning a lot about this game. Im no pro by any stretch of the imagination. But if I eat the same move from someone over and over again....I change my play style and stop eating it. It's as simple as that. People that message you after a loss to Kano are mad because they forgot to push right trigger once in a while. Apparently, 121 ff 212 ff u314 ff db4 ff d2 is very easy for some people, whereas the input for "RT" is not. I'm generally not a big fan of standard gaming insults/comebacks...but "Learn 2 Play" seriously comes to mind when I get the rage messages.

You would be amazed by how many people literally don't know what a wakeup is in this game. They're honestly unaware of the invincibility frames and such.

Definitely not the easiest to use, but isn't one of the hardest.

Like I said in the other topic.... Kano doesn't do a ton of damage all at once. So you have to hit people more... with knives or whatever... and you are instantly a spammer. Its no different than that same guy jumping around because thats all he did against the AI...

Its the gamer mentality that makes me ill sometimes. I know this is a totally different game, but, I'm not a Mortal Kombat player by trade, I'm a L4d & L4D2 player. And while EVERY team in those games thinks the best strategy is to RUSH as fast as you possibly can, our team wins by moving slowly and methodically. And then we get raged on for moving "too slow". Well if its such a good strategy, then why don't you do it? Thats the first question I always ask. No response.

Point is....it's the same thing with Kano. Whenever someone plays Kano against me because they think all I did was spam so they will "show me whats up"....i wreck. Like i said previously im not a good player, but these matches are a joke. They throw knives, I get in, they up ball, i punish. Repeat. Clearly Kano is more than just knives and up ball, and I would like to think that when this happens my opponent gets it....but I doubt it. They probalby blame netcode. Who knows. I've resorted to playing Sheeva, Jax, or Quan Chi against them after beating them down with Kano, just to show them that it's not the character, it's the player.

I love how kano's combos suck:
- f1,1 does 7% while f1,2 does 9% but in combos they do the same? WTF
- b2,3 is practically pointless since b2,f1 does more damage and the same purpose
- 3,3 is pointless because its mad slow and b1,2 does more damage
- his highest midscreen is 40% but is nuts to even pull off so you mine as well do the 37 but that might even fuck up so you should just aim for the 35 -_-
- His ex moves are laughable because all they do is add a wee bit of damage especially in combos where they add maybe 1 or 2 percent which is final
The same excuses that are given for his shitty combos are the same excuses people try to use for other characters. This isnt even about bad matchups, its about a character who has all the tools cannot use them properly. What his combos should be:
- b1,1,2-dash-2,1,2-4-Exknife-2,1,2-jump kick-Ex air ball: 44% damage as just an example
