Jax and Breakers

I'm not sure if this is a problem exclusive to jax, but it's only ever happened to me whilst playing as him.
Twice now I've had my opponent use a breaker on me, then use a slide instantly after, before I can do anything. It's happened once against a Reptile player and once against a Sub-Zero player. Any ideas?

Well, I never had that problem. People don't break against me a whole lot.
