Experimented a bit with Darrius after the patch to see what we can do with his new move. Also thought it be cool to share what was possible before the patch, for anyone curious.
We all know Mileena can hang herself on block using 12 without the right kameo. Just to get it out of the way, Darrius won’t save you lol
you can throw in low sai on strings with overheads and get full meterless combos off of it, no need to set it up as you call him in right before low sai. full kameo bar is expensive though.
The big thing is that he can give Mileena combos off her armored move and her backthrow, a 27% throw does not tickle
Backthrow timing:
hit kameo simultaneously simultaneously with the second sai stab
armored move timing:
Hit kameo right after the fourth swipe but before the last hit
With the new move you can choose to go for mix on a knockdown (OH or Low)
You have to commit to roll so if they guess right on the overhead u will be punished. If you commit to low starter into roll for you can use Darrius delayed overhead kick to safe your ass. Not super strong tech as it starts from a high but this makes Darrius overall a bit more fun imo
