Woo Hoo!
So I was in the lab just testing stuff and I decided to go over what my options are after the second hit of ex np whiffs. It happens in real matches not consistently but it does happen. Usually if it happened I would go for B12(4) not knowing how unsafe I was. I'm sure this is known but it's not on tym but I wanted to put it out there so none of my fellow Cassie's get blown up for it.
Now during the video mileenas b12 stuffed my D4, D3, D+F1, F34, and with roll she punished my flipkick. if you find yourself in this situation you have a few options though.
Option 1: Block and take whatever your opponent throws your way
Option 2: Armor and blow up their follow up (which I think is pretty trash since you just spent a bar on an ex np) + If they just sit there and block you use two bars and get full combo punished.
Option 3: Flipkick, Yes I know it got stuffed by roll in the video but mileenas roll is 8f flipkick does beat out her b1 (11f). Another thing is sometimes the flipkick will actually whiff so Cassie will avoid contact if your opponent sits there and blocks, regardless as Scott the Scot pointed out a whiffed flipkick is not safe but you might be able to get away with it. You also can get blown up if your opponent just sits there and blocks the flipkick if it makes contact. Armor beats this out.
Option 4: Backdash, This is good if your opponent follows up with like a jab or something with not great range like Jacquis 6f S1. you can backdash and it'll whiff however this option is destroyed by forward advancing normals.
Option 5: 212, Problem with this is a poke will beat out the S2 since it is a high as well as armor.
Now I know that some people may not know the mu so if they see the second hit of the ex np whiff they'll still block and you can get away with stuff but I want to put it out there that you can be punished and to be careful.
Edit: Might've mistimed D3, Either way opponent can still armor before it comes out and interupt with a fast enough normal
