Many people have answered OP's question already so I'll refrain from that.
What I will say is how I think MKX can improve, and the answer I thought most agreeable was m2dave's.
- give characters greater variety in gameplay: we knew that each character can fulfil a function in MK9 e.g. Smoke...
Up missile needs at least 10-12 frames of hid advantage
Either make straight missile slightly more safe on block or make the start-up of flame burner faster
and the d, d command is a nuisance as someone pointed out
Sektor is pretty good otherwise
I think the next MK release needs to strike the balance between the positives from this game and the positives from MK9, getting the best of both worlds in that regard.
I think most of us would agree the footsie game has pretty much been abolished here. Very few characters can control the...
Am I the only one who welcomes this change?
Tempest Lao can get fucked. He has enough going for him, though it might be a hindrance to other characters.
Either way, it's enough you have to guess on a throw so opening the tech window is a good decision imo.
I don't even remember making this thread lol
Anyway, I'm finally hype for MKX now that Sektor is here and I've had a chance to see his gameplay. Gonna play all variations of Triborg tbh.
Lol @ Quan Chi being mid tier. You messed up, OP.
Quan Chi is low tier. Fuzzy-able mix-ups, no good projectiles, no good pokes, no reliable armour and no hair.
Damn this thread is still alive?
Man it's a shame Sektor never ended up making the original MKX cast nor the combat pack and I doubt he will feature in this game, period.
Sektor > Cyrax. This is a law of life, and you must abide by it.
The pad is definitely the issue imo but I've gotten used to everything I was having problems with. It didn't take too long either so it's not a problem now.
I just have a problem mistiming things.
@ManBatHorse good point lol. That being said, Hat Tricks has improved a lot since the patch, but yeah he wouldn't be top 2.
Idk tbh I couldn't care less about someone else's opinion. I just think it's interesting to see where one of the best players ATM ranks things. It won't define anything...
I think all Quan Chi's variations are sufficient to cover every MU tbh. Summoner dominates a lot of the cast and is probably overall his best variation, so you can rock it to most MU's. Warlock is useful for the wake-up armour and footsies against characters who deal better with the zoning in...
@ZeZe
I'm assuming all variations are combined for one rating, so Unbreakable and Cryomancer hold him back. Grandmaster is obviously higher than that position. Same deal with Liu Kang at 18, considering his Flame Fist variation.
