tbh ive told many people this but don't feel like going into 100% detail so ill make it short. I play a character similar to cyrax in another fighting game. Both characters are VERY similar but the only difference is cyrax resets do A LOT of damage

to balance cyrax out his guaranteed resets need to combo in order to prorate a bit more. Instead of 70% 1 bar it can do like 60ish.

The character I play in the other fighter has o build a meter to get his gameplay going. He does full health combos but when he enters a certain state which requires his curse mter to be @ 100%

the curse meter once active will go down within a few seconds and withing that time you have to kill your opponent otherwise u loose

same can be said about cyrax. He may have vortexs and such and some tools outside his resets but w/o meter he can't win. Why do you think he hasnt taken a major yet? Cyrax relies to heavily on meter and this game is about meter managment.

Like my character i use in the other fighter. If cyrax has meter and fucks up , doesnt get his resets/combos going, or has no meter he looses simply put. Him and arakune are considered all for nothing charatcers

Arakune has no defensive options and cyrax is in a similar situation. With no meter he cant breaker. He fucks up and he eats A LOT of damage. He moves around, uses bombs and nets to space. Attempts to presure to get his net going. Thats how he build meter and uses it in in his combos

Now is it balanced in a sense....kinda. Its more annoying that broken. The community in Blazblue learn strats to fight against arakune. Learn how to avoid his setups and such. the same can be done with cyrax.

But thats how All for Nothing characters play. The entire game is a giant risk to see if he can overcome that character by giving all he has or failing and loosing steam and then overall loosing the round.

Some people in the community have to realize this. Also im not saying stop complaining just informing you why I think cyrax isnt really like HOLY SHIT WTF BROKEN.

In time we as a community will see how we can get around cyrax and show that hes just a bunch of gimicks and tricks

I can get around him but between the hitbox on the net and those resets I have to work overtime in order to do it

Some things tht need to be changed about cyrax imo r this

1) duckable net
- like rlly I cant jump or duck it....kinda silly.
2) resets should turn into long combos with proration
- Although hes an all for nothing character he needs to do a little less damage

3) Decrease his metter gain a tad bit
- This will allow him to work even harder to get his shit started. His poking and pressure game outside of Net combos are good enough were he doesnt need improvments.

Im not a cyrax player but seeing as I use a very very similar character in Blazblue im just taking what i know of him and applying it to MK9's mechanics and such
