Adon> bison if you want projectileless zoning. Better anti air similar hard kick more space control.
In fact, no, because Dictator has a godlike mk and knee press to whiff punish whatever your opponent does. BTW, punishing in general is the fundamental skill zoning players must develop, because controlling space does not make you win. What makes you win is mistakes your opponent does while trying to do stuff...or the possibility to install your own pressure because the opponent gets passive.

Bisons anti airs are pretty bad cant consider a character good at zoning without good AAs.

Well its refreshing to see that some people understand what zoning is. Wasn't Filipino Champ a tester who used Sinestro? Chances are Sinestro had good frames on his specials, and Champ was just totally shitting on all the other testers without even thinking. So NRS knew they had no time to re-design the character and just made his frames ugly. This is NRS's problem. They DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE PROJECTILES. MK10 needs to take a Vampire Savior approach and be based on offense totally, with minimal ability to "zone". Injustice is a big step in the right direction. More aggression = better NRS game.

Bison has good AA : very good air to air, cl.HP, 2HP, 5HK... Look at Gagapa's use of cl.HP. Let's not go into a full SF4 discussion but he has good AA ; you just need proper spacing and anticipation. In fact, very like Injustice: if a jump-in surprises you or your position is bad, AA-ing may be quite difficult againt certain characters.

You're actually right and they make as well just go that direction. Boon, himself, has expressed how much he hates projectiles on multiple accounts. Projectiles make very little to no sense in these games to begin with. They're either very good, which means they'll be nerfed to shit, NRS will forget to adjust them on a certain character that has breathing problems, or they'll just have excessive amounts of armor on them.

Projectile trading may have been a good idea for IGUA. Even shitty projectiles can trade when timed correctly. Fuck it, just make MK10, or IGUA 2 with no projectiles. These games blow whale dicks.

I agree totally. Every character in MK has a projectile and that is madness. Why can Jax sonic boom you? It is dumb. Getting rid of all that baggage could make NRS focus on their clear strengths which will make for a better game. I think Vampire is a great template for what MK could become. You wouldn't have to drop projectiles, just make smart choices on who gets them and what the utility is i.e. don't make them a crutch.

In fact, VS projectiles have very diverse use cases.
With Lilith, you gain pressure, with Lei Lei you get imblockables, with Sasquatch you counter zone, with Demitri you zone, with Jedah you restrict the opponent, with Bulleta you AA... what you can't do is chip the opponent to death from afar through spamming bullets.

I really think having projectiles in Injustice is good, because it really matches the characters' powers ; right now, projectiles are useful without being too strong. While it can be frustrating, it's much better than having OP projectiles that make the game a bad Windjammers clone (best game ever BTW).

But if you dont make them a crutch we will get more m2dave qq threads. I dont know if i can take many more of these threads tbh.

Zoning Master
Ninj has never gotten out of a pool at a major tournament. Why is this fool lecturing me about characters and tournaments?

My gameplay style consists of traditional full screen zoning. If you scrubs want to call that "spamming", be my guest.

Dave is a spammer at heart. He's proved that with how he played Freddy. He dropped skarlet immediately when she lost her over powered daggers. He is not a zoner.

Spamming is when you use the same tactics and do not adapt based on differing circumstances. Watch archived play from Dave at any tournament. Projectile, projectile, projectile, teleport. He'll do this the entire time, every match. That's spamming.

Zoning is adapting your tactics to push your opponent into vulnerable situations. Learning a frame tap (air claw blocked means guaranteed ground spike in mk9) IS NOT ZONING. THIS IS NOT SKILL.

Stop propping Dave up as some zoning God. Just stop. Please.

If you don't understand dave's sense of humor then you probably shouldn't post in this thread lol

Where art thou, MKX Skarlet?

Maybe you should do well at a major in any game since one time last year before you start calling yourself a master of anything. I don't train for tournaments, I go for fun. You train to win and did well once with the only character that can throw projectiles fullscreen and teleport. You know why you ceased to do well any time after that? Because people now know exactly how you operate. Last I checked, you didn't make it out of pools at UFGT9 and gave up before you even got there. I wonder why. Because if you can't throw projectiles fullscreen, your near-complete lack of frame data knowledge becomes blatantly clear.

Oh yeah, and you dodged our money match at Evo last year too.

Keep in mind I've not once said you're bad at what you do. I've even said you're quite good at it. My point is that you're only good at one aspect of fighting games. That doesn't make you a pro and it severely limits you. That leads to you getting fisted in any game that doesn't allow you to avoid every other character's tools by locking them down with projectiles.

Another point about not being good at anything other than fullscreen projectiles is that you shouldn't be making threads about how "zoning is dead". Rename the thread to "I can't throw fullscreen projectiles and win in this game so I suck at it" and I'll stop tagging and quoting you in your idiotic posts.

How about you respond in an intelligent way instead of bringing up information nobody cares about? I know this is impossible for you, but I'm an optimist, what can I say.
