Runway, I only really watched up until the Sonya matches ended, but I felt like you pressured too much on wake up and ended up eating a lot of ex cartwheels. It's best not to really try poking Sonya too much unless she's doing something else since divekick is so quick and blows up pokes really bad.

I think a little more spacing and moving in and out will help a lot, try more baiting out of divekick and ex cartwheel, make her waste the meter and blow her up. I feel like the best way to deal with Sonya is not to feed into her b.s. lol. I've started doing a lot better against Sonyas after I started playing footsies differently against her.

Long story short: Learn Sonya's range. Her options are straightforward, no tricks, just solid options.

You don't have to. Stay out of her d4 range and she's free to Jade. Oh yeah, and if she keeps dashing in try to jump over than overhead. She'll most likely try to d4 again and you'll catch her.

It's kind of funny, prior to Sunday we've never run this match up against each other lol, but Rampage254 had the amazing idea to record our series, I've rarely if ever run it from Jade's perspective so that was a nice change of pace.

Watching these it's funny how much we respect each other too much at times and other times we go full on crazy mode with over 9,000 throws lol.

This is my favorite match up to run and I'm kind of excited I have someone to consistently run it with now haha. It's really all footsies, reads, baiting and spacing, which I love.

I'm really impressed with how he plays the match up too, blowing up overhead, punishing back 2 and doing some pretty sick baits to make rangs whiff and things of that nature :).


This series was definitely some of the most fun I've ever had playing this game no joke lol, thanks again and very marvelous games Ramp :D.

Yeah...sometimes I start playing Jade like crazy ass Kitana lol...just charging in...poking with no real objective in mind lol.

Hey Peeps,

I won a small tournament with Jade over the weekend. Against a great player who uses Kenshi. It looked bleak for me but it worked out fine.

Subscribe and comments are more than welcome. I am only a good player when people point out mistakes. As for comments from me. Jade vs Kenshi is not an easy match. I played wreckless in the first matches then took note for the next ones. I really hate that match up but i've realized now that players in Canada are counter picking my characters to beat me. It's all good. All a learning experience for me.

I didn't find an answer for force push in time. I definitely need to work on that match up. Should have some fun tag matches from the tourney to share soon :)

Some good feedback and constructive criticism I wanted to give, I hope it's okay :).

Meter usage: A lot of times you used a lot of meter on ex shadow kick, which left you without the option to break and things of that nature. Just in my opinion, I feel meter

Work on watching your whiffs on your specials and normals. Your whiffs got punished pretty hard, Ermac has really solid space control so you really wanna be careful with how you approach and space him.

I felt like you rushed a lot through the match, which is understable if you're not comfortable with a match up. I can definitely relate to that. The main thing is trying to slow down and get into a groove/rhythm.

SCR tag matches with Jade. So never said anything cute and mean though lol. :p

I think the conversation when we were talking went;

Whatshername "So are you going to blade charge me all day with Baraka?"
Me, think about it a minute, then, "Yea. Probably."
We both laugh and Bit said it was the mildest trash talk he's ever heard

I don't even know how to play tag lol. Was just for fun :)
