Chris G goes 1 - 2 with broken character OP Kenshi

I don't think people are blowing Chris G up for this. They're blowing certain members of the community up for assuming Chris G would automaticly be top now that he is using Kenshi. I for one don't hate the guy at all, but it was really annoying being in streams and watching people assume he would all of a sudden have a top level Kenshi. That mindset from the community is an insult to Pig, Blackula, Mayo, Blind Man and other good Kenshis who have put in a lot of work with the character. If anyone is blowing Chris G up they're way off base. This just proves what most of us have been saying which is what looks so damn simple, isn't.

But would you have made the thread in the same manner if it was Kabal? NOOOO!!!!

What i noticed is Kenshi is the only top character that has a double standard where a player who does not well with Kenshi means Kenshi must not be that good and NOT that the player has to go practice more and level up to come back stronger...

I feel bad for the Kabal Sonya etc players. Any time they lose its because they suck but any time kenshi players lose its because possible 5-5 or losing match up or Kenshi isnt that good LOL

Who the Hell is saying Kenshi isn't good? People are just tired of hearing Kenshi is brain dead auto win, especially from people who play other top tier characters.

What about all the other top tier characters that get told the same exact thing? How many times do we hear that Kabal and Sonya are braindead autowin every day? How many times do we have every one call cyrax braindead with just net and a dream? Why is it that when you give the SAME insult to kenshi players it becomes a personal attack?

Getting caught in 90% from one mistake, and waching helplessly while you're juggled around until your entire life bar is gone, isn't quite comparable here. In Sonya's case it's mainly that she has a 40+% + chip/reset combo starter that has super armor on it and is safe, so you can throw it out and essentially 'reverse' any move in the game for 50%ish damage. Kabal can full combo off iAgb anti air from fullscreen, full combo armored anticrossover etc + has a low-hitting projectile and a ranged overhead throw that are interchangeabke.

Personally, I don't think you get anywhere in tournaments being 'braindead'. But I think a lot of people are speaking in terms of instant damage and available tools.

I've never really heard any of that in the past 6 months, except for Cyrax QQing, and Cyrax players pretty much laugh, good naturedly troll, or have a similar response as us. I do remember the Kabal qQing a year ago, and again, similar responses. But Kenshi is the hot button troll word right now, especially from people who don't play kenshi. It's like a "whose ass is blackest?"contest. And apparently that's somehow a double standard. But hell what do I know? Until a month and a half ago I played Sub-Zero for two years, where damn near everything is a 6-4 and I was still supposed to feel guilty because bads can't avoid clones and got salty over ice ball cancels.

Cyrax receives far more hate and braindead comments than Kenshi.. at least from what I see and read. Why are the top cyrax players not crying up a river about hate comments and making threads mocking people who say cyrax is so overpowered? Was maxter not the only Cyrax to make top 8 at nec that featured about EVERY Cyrax in usa + tony t? I would believe so

Any time a kabal player is on stream playing every one complains in chat how dumb kabal moves are. I see posts on this site every day saying "6-4 kabal" and other kabal-broken-memes used over and over like no other in so many threads. Did you miss all the crying and complaining when reo won nec a month ago in the frontpage thread? How about the mlg threads and etc? You look passed the Kabal hate because everyone is USED to it by now since its every where and the kabal players don't push it in the spotlight like Kenshi players do!

And when's the last time anyone half seriously campaigned for an honest to God Kabal or Sonya ban? Did I say people didn't moronically bitch about them instead of learning the match up? Well kenshi players deal with alot more hate than kabal players do. See to play kabal you need heavy execution. People aren't hating on the character much we all have seen that no kenshi other than pig or mayo really makes top 15. We have seen that characters like sonya are making top 15 quite often, and we have seen only one kabal win consistently. that doesn't take from the character. what mayo is saying is that over the past month we have cried about (not having fundamentals and other players coming to this game are gonna body us.) He is also making a point saying that one cannot just be good at other games, and play a top character and expect to win. You have to work at it like everyone else. Hell this thead would have been made even if he picked freddy, sonya, cage, cyrax, skarlett, kabal, even scorpion

If he is serious about mk he should invest his time in reptile. He is really good with him and knows how to exploit reptile for the type of character he is imo.

Kenshi players don't even have it close. The kabal hate has been happening for soooo long. People kinda stop recently but as soon as another kabal wins a tournament, besides reo, the hate will be back. The reason why the hate died down is because people dropped their pocket kabals. There are very few kabal mains left and it seems like I am one of the few. I'm talking about true kabal mains, not people that have him as an alt. Kenshi was slept on until Pig starting doing really well with him.

I'm not saying you guys didn't get your fair share of hate but, I think anyone who plays this game at a high lvl, or competitively understands that he is just not an easy mode character. Hell no character truly is.

Kenshi players are the biggest attention whores.

I dont think it's about bashing chris g. Under_The_Mayo is trying to make he is saying that one cannot just practice for a few weeks with any character and be good at this game. Even if it's Kenshi, kabal ect. Even if you consistently win in other tournaments and are a phenomenal player. Learning this game takes devotion to a character for a period of time. I think everyone is just reading half of what he is saying. Lets not make this a debate about which character is easy mode because no character s easy. Every character has to be learned, practiced, and given experience in order to be good in the hands of a player. Compared to others some character don't have to deal with some things yes, but that is life.

What annoys me so much about the mk community is anyone that is considered a good player at other games and decides they want to try and pick this game up is strong armed out and sort of bullied by our community. It makes us look like fucking shit.

I get that you kenshi mains take pride in your character to ridiculous extents. But chris g's one week performance with kenshi is by no means a barometer as to how difficult the character is or proof that the character isnt as strong as we all know he is. Just remember that this game is roughly around 5th place in terms of games chris would want to do well in. He obviously just loves competition and you guys should appreciate the fact that he embraces our game when so many others like him consider it a joke.

This is a man that has repeatedly talked shit out our game and our community. If anyone deserves to be shit on for coming into our house and getting bodied after multiple top players talk him up, it's Chris G. Can you provide examples? I haven't heard him flame any specific player. As far as I can tell he is talked up more by others than himself.
