Based on what was said in today's Kombat Kast about that there will be More Balance Changes coming, I'm starting to think the Downward Klone Toss is a 'Compensation' for a Huge Nerf coming to Grandmaster. I mean, why give a potential Top 5 Character something to make him better? Doesn't add up to me. I'd love for him to be Top 5, hell even WIN in a Major but I'm just not confident that NRS will Allow Good Ol GM Subz to be THAT good, especially when he currently is better than Boon's boy Scorpion. I will say though, given that he is on the Cover of MK XL gives me some hope he won't be MK9ed but I'm anticipating a Massive Nerf. Anyway, Prove me wrong NRS. Prove me wrong.

Oh and Leatherface looks like he will be a Massive Pain in the Ass for Grandmaster. Maybe even as Hard or Harder Match Up than Swarm Queen D'Vorah.

I was actually thinking that the close klone toss seems like compensation for not being able to fix certain inconsistencies with GM, stuff like specific distance for shatter combos, female specific corner combos etc.

Do you mean f4 check? D4 toss can be armored through.

Edit: Ok maybe I read it wrong and you mean check after the toss (still armorable though).

My bad, I didn't see the CEO One. I only just started paying attention to Tournies in the last 2 Months having just got the game end of November to learn GM Sub-Zero better. But I was only aware of non Sub-Zero Winners. I don't know how I missed YOMI DJT...I checked out the Winners Results today for CEO 15 and in all fairness though YOMI DJT didn't main as Only GM Sub-Zero. I did see the Madzin replays though on this board, he did really well but he changed for Kotal Kahn at the Last Minute which was Disappointing. Still he took GM as far as he could. I guess my idea of winning a Major is Only as One Character.

Yeah, the "one character" part is what keeps him out of top 5 I think. Quan, Lao, Tanya, Pred, Tremor and D'Vorah are all characters that don't really require a secondary. Hell, most of them can win with a single variation.
