To build a gaming PC or buy a PS4

Street Fighter V is coming out, and I figured it's a good time to move to the current generation.

So, I can't decide what to do. Build a PC and play SF5 and games on there, or invest in a PS4 so I can play MKX because we all know the PC port is bad.

Why would you make another thread like this? Should of made the title :

SFV & MKX are both on PS4. Question, answered.

For fighting games I'd stick to console, unless you play classic fighting games, MAME is superior.

There are very VERY great PC games though, with endless amounts of online players via Steam.

Depends on what types of games you would like to play. Most fighting games work great on steam+fightcade (except mkx). If you are into strategy, RTS, simulators, PC would be best choice. If you like console exclusives and dont play the mentioned genres a PS4 would be the better choice. If you want it all buy both lol.

If you HAVE to play MKX then you best get a PS4 because support for the PC version was dropped.

meh. USFIV is perfectly fine and healthy on PC. SFV and KI are going to be crossplay so there is no big difference there, but if he wants to play MKX then PS4 he should get.

If you have no interest whatsoever in Killer Instinct, get a PS4. As far as fighting games go, you'll be covered for a couple of years.

I love my PC but I say go PS4. Modern fighting games just don't have the audience on PC, and NRS/WB obviously don't care about PC either. For me, fighting games are the 1 thing that justify owning a current gen console anyway. I despise paying for online, but I love fighting games more than I hate Sony's greed.

I'm in a similar situation. I have an xbox one already with MKX and KI so i'm covered there. But I also really really want SFV. I was also planning on getting a new laptop soon anyway, so I was leaning towards getting a nice gaming laptop. I occasionally play on fightcade as well, and I don't really see myself getting any other ps4 games at the moment. None of the console exclusives really jump out at me, but it seems to be the console of choice for fighting games. Any advice is much appreciated.

EDIT: I also use stick for SF and my only stick is an xbox 360 madcatz fightstick, which means I'd also have to get a converter or a new stick for a ps4. So I'm leaning very hard towards PC version but still would like any advice you might have.
