So from what I'm reading, Commando Kano's changes are:
  • 22 New String, safe
  • b13 1+3 string
  • Can connect standing strings into his command grabs
  • B1 tick throw
  • Choke is more + on hit
Not to mention Cutthroat's b1 range increased, and db1 is -5 on block....




Oh MAN I wish I had the beta right now.


Oh, and Rest in Peace Cybernetic.


So, @tylerlansdown think you could get the b13 gap fixed? That kinda hurts Cybernetic Kano a bit too much. Especially since there were no Cybernetic Buffs, like 1+3 restand enders being special cancel-able.

Randomly found it. I DO watch anime, but not much.
ah haha. Well that gif is from an anime called Owari No Seraph, its like attack on titan but with vampires as the enemy.

Now back on topic about Kano. Do you guys think they will nerf commando, everyone keeps saying how good he is so im kinda scared to pick him up in fear of what NRS will do xD

I maintain that one of the command grabs should be made slower to let him tick from B1 rather than lessen the cancel advantage so much that B13 is no longer a true blockstring, but I think this whole thing about it having a gap is starting to get blown too far out of proportion.....

I mean, interrupting accordingly as soon as you see B1? There's a lot of other normals/strings that give you a lot more time to think about your options and nothing is done about them lol.
 
Yeah, every time I try and do a command grab from a combo, I end up doing an up ball or knives (if using 112 or 22 string). I am pretty sure I turned off all of the options on the controller presets. Can't wait for this to be released so that I can practice it a little more....everyone I've fought during the beta has been really really good....like way out of my league good.

Nice vid. Do you think Commando and CT are now better options than Cyber? Up until this patch (if it stays) I've always considered Cyber to best variation overall...imo

I want Cyber to be his best still. Those mid knives are to good plus they are fast. The changes are universal, so 2,2 works and hits hard. His air ball is still OH which helps with Cyber. His B1 is least on block so you can bait better.

Not sure if his eye laser is least on block or what his up laser does?? I would like to check out the properties but people be kicking me in the face. LOL! Cyber still might be good, I just been getting hype for the tick grabs. CT is better now even then it was already. So not sure yet, I have to wait until this goes live so I have time to test Cyber more.

For the record Cutthroat has always been his best variation, not Cybernetic. Cutthroat just flat out has better tools :p And as far as I'm aware 22 is Commando specific, not sure why though lol.

22 so far is his way to get in and stay in with Commando with it's range. On hit, it allows run in B1 or D4 and it only combos into Rib breaker after ex Kano ball. Cutthroat has DB1 to get in and officially stay safe now with the changes. Cool stuff.

CT may be the most sufficient now if the b1 hit box is better. (Haven't played the beta so idk) I started out maining CT, but later moved to Cyber just b/c I felt the mid knives caused most players to become more impatient - that's just my take tho. If Cyber does get the 2,2 that'd be great.

If we don't get it all (which I don' t see why not with all the other stuff in the game) and I had to choose what we get to keep I would say cmd grabs comboing on hit, the plus on hit choke and 22. Personally I think it's a no brainer to have the new string of b131+3 and that shouldn't even be a consideration for keep or not. So basically I don't care if the b1 tick and hit buff goes away. Think we'd be solid AF without that since that's what people want to cry broke on.

What about you guys?
