How many of you would like Kai to return?

Here's hoping he returns someday. Maybe Bo could be training him, Li Mei and Jin next game for the big events. Too bad people are really close minded to 3D era MK kharacters, except Kobra, that's something I can't imagine being made better if not something entirely different.

Kobra is like MK's Dan, except he's really SF's Ken. Its MK's way of saying half of SF's roster are jokes.

Kai as we know him now - Hahahaha no.

Kai as they would revamp him for MKX or a future MK - Yes.

At his base, he's not a complete joke like Mokap or Meat so already he starts with a more solid foundation. IIRC they could just remove the White Lotus connection or expand the White Lotus to not just be Shaolin, keep his Nepalese origin, and already his stock rises tenfold.

I did like Kai back in MK4, he was really cool. I would love to have him back.

Taven was ok. I liked him more then Kai, but Kai still isn't that bad. I think if they brought them/any 3D era character back and redid them, they would be awesome. Like BRC.

When MK4 was released i thought that Kai was the most boring, lackluster character in the whole roster. Like seriously it's enough that we have Kung Jin...(god, every time i see him im like... WTF)

There are so many interesting characters that they could include in the next dlc.... Kai definitely isn't one of them.

I don't get some people man. Its like if the characters aren't from MK1-UMK3 they are just GOD AWFUL and should never be in a MK game again, unless its Quan or Tanya. MK4-MKA had some cool characters. People literally hate some characters just because they aren't from a 2D MK game.

It does seem that a lot of people are very Nostalgia boner about 1-3. I love MKII but I also enjoyed all of the 3D era games bar Armageddon (though the opening scene was so good).

Of the MK4-MKA not on the MK2011 or MKX roster, personally, I'd love to see Kai, Reiko, Ashrah and Havik make a return. Sadly two of those are dead in the comics so this is really the only shot they have (Reiko, I can understand but killing off Havik seemed very odd).

I think i'd prefer to see Nitara revamped. We don't have any other vampires on MK and it would be pretty cool if she was redesigned to be badass.
