Sorry to be lazy to read through all 11 pages, if it's already mentioned but can someone quickly tell me, if the df1 low mix up is still possible after a confirmed nutpunch? or is the push back too much?

From what I've gathered, it seems that the only option after a regular np is b1, which can now be backdashed.

The opponent is in DF1 range, but they can backdash. B1 is almost the only option currently unless your opponent just sits there
 
part of hollywood gameplan was to bait counterpokes and launch them with exflip into np reset

b1 is still there. Walkspeed is still there. iaGuns are still there. The only thing we - Hollywood mains - have lost is a safe way out of almost everything. Seems fair until you look at SpecOps(

Here is my opinion on what should be done to flipkick. I believe it should remain 6frames since her midscreen damage is minimal she needs those opportunities to punish. Now keep in mind most characters have forward advancing armor or some anti/counter zoning tool. She has none so has to honestly work her way in. I feel the best ways to deal with ex flipkick would be leave armor and make punishable or more interesting, leave armor and safety but she doesn't launch for combo(Ermac ex blast, Kano ex upball, Kang ex dragonfist, Jax ex dash punch). I feel this would be fair as well
Open for blowups now. I would like @Compbros to weigh in on this since he is the only spec ops I am aware of w results.

strip any character in mkx of their specials and all they have is a 15 frames advancing mid

Well, obviously safe armored launchers are evil and should go. NRS decided to give Cassie safe mixups for a bar thus forcing us to focus on offense. We already have a reversal that gives us a little more than just a way out of pressure, so I totally understand that choice.
What I don't understand however is what was so good about SpecOps that it got hit so hard. Or what do they plan for her.

Now that I think about it, hollywood has more "character" in it than the other variations, so I don't see how all the fun gets taken away

You considered hollywood ez and wanted to make things harder for yourself. That seems more legit
Since August of 2014 I wanted to main cassie and initially wanted hollywood. After about 2 weeks I tried her other variations heavily and started digging spec ops more. I've been a spec ops main since week 3, way before Hollywood was known to be the best and way before all her super dirty tech, it just feels better to me. This isn't about handicapping myself or finding Hollywood too easy, it was about what I liked the most and that's spec ops. Spec Ops got nothing so far to help with cassie wide nerfs and it was already seen as the worst variation by many and while Brawler got buffs to compensate for its losses spec ops really and truly as of this moment got fucked.

People always forget Jer when talking spec ops. Not being a launcher would work beautifully for spec ops but hurt hollywood.

Goro, Jax, Tremor all have "safe" launching armor. You can argue Takeda and beta Jacqui too

Anyway my comment was basically a joke saying quan has no wakeup, there was no reason to attack me. and after the patch he likely wont get that damage into hard to blockables anymore
