The largest tournament in TOTFC history, MKX barely beating out Sm4sh with 51 entrants! Competitors from all over the east coast traveled for a slice at what ended up being a $2,000 pot bonus (1500+500 extra for getting the most entrants). Traveling up from Orlando FL were the oD boys, and guys let me tell you they will be a force to reckon with. From Jersey, we had the likes of Jupiter, REO, J360 and more. From Delaware, Mr Dragon. Guys from all over the midatlantic ranging from Maryland to Carolinas. I could not be more proud as someone who helps organize it to see so many new faces and to show people how we do here in va once more.

Let's get into the action! This tournament bread some new rivalries and kindled some already existing ones. This turned into a straight bloodbath between team TGS and oD. It started with a last round nailbiter between Mr Aquaman and Atai, 2-1 in aquas favor the tension was already set, both teams watching and more bracket was to be played. Sticking on the winners side we had the first match to make top 8. With oD 2EZ coming off the upset over the previous TOTFC champ kevodaman, he was set to play TGS Zappa. In what turned into another nailbiter (there will be a theme here) Zappa pulls is out with his shaper Shinnok 2-1. In losers we saw two incredibly close matches between the teams with TGS Yams closing it out last round 2-1 over oD 2EZ and TGS Sidthehaze clutching it out vs oD Full-Autos amazing you guessed it, full auto jacqui. Everytime the teams met it was last round. TGS took this battle, but we look forward to the next time we battle. These guys got some serious MKX game. Check out below for more:

In bracket we saw some major upsets, and a killer ride through losers. One of the favorites to win the tournament fell short with a 9th place showing as TGS Mr Aquaman and oD Alcatraz defeat Noble Jupiter. oD 2EZ upsets defending champ and multiple placer Kevodaman. Yams goes on a tear having to eliminate 3 teammates 2 locals Beating two of his tournament toughest Sidthehaze and Mr Aquaman back to back in top 8 2-1. Up next was Kevodaman with a convincing 2-0 in his favor. After 7 WINS in losers he finds himself in losers finals against none other than REO. Reo took it 2-0 convincingly in winners round 2 but the train was circling around at full speed this time as Yams eliminated Reo 3 straight games. In winners top 8 cR Dragon convincingly took it over Aquaman 2-0 and REO taking it over Zappa 2-0. Then we make it to winners finals. This ended up being a classic, last round, clutch conversions, and sick reads determined who would advance. cR Dragon sends REO to losers, 3-2. With Yams coming out of losers he got what he wanted the entire tournament, the runback with Dragon. They have a history, playing twice before at majors, 2-1 both times in dragons favor last round. The rivalry picked up right where it left off with dragon going up 2-0 just to see the hometown crowd fire up yams one more time. Yams brings it to 2-2, but falls short of slaying the dragon.

Congrats to cR Dragon, fun stuff seeing REO play Predator, and Good stuff to alL SoVA players and Kevo Da Man for a great showing and taking names in the tournament. Amazing display by YAMS the man was on fire from what I saw on Top 8 he was nearly unstoppable, comfortable and confident in his gameplay and character it was great to see him like that.

Awkward Sloth

Lamest Harley, still better sloth than Jer
Just realized team TGS got their first win over an S tier Yomi player. Now we need to focus on beating any tier Cr member.
