Breakthrough - Scorpion Update: More buffs for scorpion, 1,1 string is now +1 on block and more

@aieches has been uploading the beta framedata, i went through it to see if anything has changed

One of the notable changes now is that the string 1,1 is now +1 on block, on the current build is -4 (just checked)

This might probably fix that Gap @YOMI RM JagoBlake as brought into our attention.

This is good news really, not only there is a high possibility of the gap being removed, but we finally have a stagger string as well that is actually plus on block.

The other changes are as it follows:
1,2 is now -6 from up from -11
2,1 string is now +2 on block from -7
2,1,4 is now +2 on block, and the cancel advantage has been reduced to 24f down from 28, this is probably to have that gap
Edit: B4 (Ninjutsu) is now -4 on block, up from -16 on block

I've read somewhere F3 got nerfed, however the frame data is intact

Now THESE are great changes for Scorpion! I knew something was up when I staggered 2 1 and it felt plus!

Now just fix the hit animations for 1 1 4 and 1 2 3 so they won't drop WHEN THEY CONNECT and we'll be good.

i was just about to pm you on twitter that i did these but then i was like - hes prob doing this as we speak.. i couldnt remeber if you got the beta code yet.

With this changes on the string, it probably might do some good for inferno as well, since the variation cannot cancel into specials, he may finnally have a way to apply some stagger pressure.

There is probably more, but the vids do not show every single move.

ahh shit I know what I did - damn I just go down after the page on these - I think I may have posted the wrong ones . I was rushing trying to get through all them before the match ending (basically before they beat me)

Maybe its because i haven't checked the other videos yet, i did not saw the takedown frame data on this one, neither the jump attacks. But i still have to thank you, you did a good job.

If you could do one more thing for me, is, try to walk back until you reach the corner and stop there, if will get that video to see if his walkspeed backwards was also improved.

okay wil try - yeah I just noticed it - somewhere in my video taking I went from continuing to a scroll down to just ending at the bottom of the page I was looking at them scrolling over. haha - I'll redo these

hahaha this isn't an everyday thing - Saturday if I choose to come in or get ahead I'm usually here by myself. when I'm here by myself I pretty much just run the printer and the cutter but today I'm only printing which means I have down time . so I brought the box in to test a few things. I'm also working on a dual mod stick so I kinda planned on bringing my toys into work today lol

As suspected, there is one more buff for Ninjutsu.
B4 is now -4 on block, up from -16 on the current build.

His walkspeed is basically the same, he might not be able to outspace some strings to whiff punish, but if these buffs stays as of right now, he doesn't need it, B4 will be enough to keep ppl in check about pressing buttons within ninjutsu range since is -4 on block now it will make the char kinda annoying to deal with, so theoretically those changes helps scorpion in neutral in general, not only for ninjutsu, but i suppose hellfire and inferno as well.


Nothing new for the other variations though, Minions have the same frame data, We already know Hellfire got the cancels back, but there is a gap in between 21(4), he can do two flame auras in one combo again, and all scorpions can do 214 repetitions again.

Not really a necessary buff, but I'll take it! If anything, it'll be a completely safe check against Kung Lao's wake-up EX Spin.

...actually, Lao can't wake up AT ALL. So "not necessary," my ass. THIS IS GODLIKE.

Yeah, the best part about it, its that adds a new layer on his neutral, and all characters with far reaching normals will have to hold that and respect that space, situations where a back dash, a string to interrupt a charge in, or a teleport cancel, or unavoidable blocking can now all be low profiled or countered with B4.

So 21 and 214 by themselves are both plus on block now? Hmm. Now that I'm hearing 21 is a viable stagger tool, and seeing that the actual 214 string startup is the same I wonder what that means for 21 FBRC in Hellfire....

Ninjutsu B4 being safe on block is good, FINALLY.

There doesn't seem to be much we can make of Inferno just yet, incorrect frame data on minions still listed...

Yay, buffs. More plus frames are always good. I just want this patch so I can see what his new meta will be on 214 FBC.
 
Can someone explain these buffs a little more simple? I'm not stupid, I'm just *relatively* new to fighting games. What does stagger pressure mean?

And the 214 gap means scorpion has more options when doing this string?

They make a double hitting low -4 on block, and at the same time they are making Cage d4 -6...?

No hate, I'm also a Ninjutsu player, but I can't understand some nrs decisions.
