REALLY ??? So we should've known when they announced that they were making a KP2 that it was console only? So, then I can assume that if they suddenly stated "XBOne will no longer be supported. All further Updates, DLC, Balance Patches Etc.. will be PS4 Only" { OR Vice Versa } EVERYONE here would be totally fine with it correct ? Cause ya kno' Business is Business and all.

Is everyone, who thinks that this is completely justified on the Devs part to do, that Naive ? Do you guys not realize, that announcing new content for a Fighting Game during the Holidays will drive up sales of said game ? They announce new content, wait till AFTER Christmas Holiday Shopping is OVER, then make an announcement that it was all a lie. But, again if they did it to u console guys u would be just as happy as you are now, cause Business is Business.

The FGC is SUPPOSED TO BE A COMMUNITY. Communities stick together. It shouldn't matter what platform you guys play on. EVERYONE who has the PC Game is no longer able to stay competitive in this game, because the PC version will no longer be on Par with the Consoles. So any & all new Balance changes that get put into the game won't be known to PC Players. And the solution should NEVER be "Buy a console then." That's what an "Entitled" person would say, because they're used to being able to buy whatever/whomever they want. Not everyone is lucky enough to have Both consoles & a PC and a copy of the same game across all 3 platforms.

The FGC should band together not turn on each other. This entire thread is disgusting & I'm appalled by how little this community cares about it's members. I don't know if it's MK exclusive, but I sure as hell hope so because if this is how it is for every fighting game, then your "community" sucks ass. You guys actually have the power to make a stand & let Developers/Publishers know that this type of treatment towards your fellow "community" members shall not & will not be tolerated. But, instead you side with them & applaud them for fucking over nearly half a million people. All of which are part of the FGC because this is, after all, a fighting game.

you cant compare the two, so you go out for a meal you enjoy it loads 8 months later you regurgitate said meal sign a petition and try get your money back is basically how you would compare the two, not by doin it your way !

Maybe NRS stopped supporting PC because of the fact some people are playing the SFV Beta on PC for free, I really doubt future NRS games are going to be released for PCs. Thank god I never bought the PC version of MKX, I didn't have a PS4 before MKX was out and I almost went with the PC version but I changed my mind on last minute simply because I was expecting more people were going to buy the PS4 version of it which means more players online.

sorry to hear that.. i understand.... but at the same time.. when you buy a game your not garanteed anything.. just the other day.. a friend got on the Phone with XBox One customer support, and they told him with his problem the only option was to factory reset.

he had the digital version of KP1 and MKX among other games.

long story short. they couldnt find his purchase code in thier database. he has to rebuy mkx on consol.. and niether Microsoft or WB will do anything.

i told him thats shitty and remember next time you buy what you buy!

i said thats why i always get Disk!

because people were scared of the possibility of another bad port:

-they said "HI" with download and installation problem
-30fps content to people that expect 144, they made enemies there, a lot of thread of complaints and players thinking there was something on their end after the first xrays were executed
-HVS

I myself got the game after I tried it beforehand, was not flawless but with the right amount of tinkering and hope I still bought it a few days after release.
Worth of note that I had to play on 720p until tanya patch (3570k+gtx670) otherwise random memory leaks would just destroy both offline and online gameplay..basically skytemple was the nextgen of the lagswitch..I'm more comfortable in the mkx training room that in my own house.
after that patch most of the issues were gone and I was rocking 1080p@60fps almost all maxed out with sweet graphics (nothing compared to console version, I have a ps4 now and have hard time adjusting my eyes to see the difference)
online has always been a better experience..pc players are more of an educated playerbase so very low wireless players. This allowed the search for new skilled opponents in public to be almost as smooth as word of mouth

this is more fuel to the fire, didn't think of it
I can tell for sure that public rooms were filled with new players around steam sales
also, some other websites had keys for as low as 10€, last week kp1 was 2.5€ so there was a steady flow of new players

it's this kind of attitude that is bringing gaming to the lowest level nowadays, exclusive, paid content, disk locked stuff and online fees

we bougth MKX pc because we still wanted to be part of the mk community, only on a different platform
a lot of skilled players emerged too (st9rm, jupe, rza and sorry for all of those I forget to mention) same way as the console, a whole region played esl on pc (and believe me when I say russians are everywhere in rooms on pc)
because in the end we ALL gathered here to discuss, test and share strategies

when we signed up for mkx pc we were automatically included in the mkx playerbase, 500k copies at launch is not a low number considering the surroundings
especially when you did not estabilish a playerbase because you fucked up your 2 previous pc releases (mk9 and igau)
I bought mkx almost exclusively because I had a hell of a good time on the 360 with mk9

this kind of decision should not have other parallels in real life, you deliver a product, people buy it because believes in you..they don't expect to be treat like shit
justifying this kind of behaviour is wrong, there's no other word

I feel sorry for the PC players in this thread. I am a console player as well but just bc it doesn't affect me doesn't mean its right. I would say that the majority of console players empathize with you so i would ignore the trolls. You cant reason with them. And even if you could you don't want their support.

Dropping PC for a game people paid full price for because they were told it was just as good as the console version is not OK. The end.

It is so ridiculous to start screaming "lol entitled noob." Do people even understand that not every sense of entitlement is inherently falsely premised?

"You should have known better" is the stupidest argument ever. Boone himself led people to believe the PC port was going to be every bit as good as the other versions. end of story.

It's a shame, I came here to read what I expected to be universal condemnation at the situation and instead I see console players telling the PC players that they should just take it and be done with it.
It's funny, but a few months ago, when the 360/PS3 ports were finally cancelled I and many others were told "Buy it on PC or XB1/PS4" like it was magically the answer. Now this crap has gone even further. Those telling me to buy a new console in order to get the game seem justified now compared to telling those who have already bought the game to go out and get a new console in order to play the game.

Everyone here was playing the same game and rather than the community coming together to call out what is nothing less than complete disrespect, all I is people who aren't affected telling those who are affected to go and screw themselves. The shear lack of empathy is astounding.

To all the console players who really couldn't given a shit about those members of this community who are now in a situation of "Pay even more money or gtfo" - I truly hope that this exact situation happens to you and when you dare to say "This isn't fair" everyone not affected belittles you, insults you and turns their backs on your plight.
Although judging by most of the posts I've read, you won't be able to even register the similarity of the situation, only how it's not fair on you.

The Pit is the compatibility download for KP2. PC is not getting KP2, ergo PC is not getting The Pit.
