Thanks for the video, I'm picking up Brood Mother now and I was feeling kinda lost trying to come up with shit.Although the hype is with venomous , I looked into brood mother and come up with a new Bnb into setup seeing as the cooldowns been shortened on low bug
This vid also shows options she gets off other Enders
For Venomous, you should be learning all your basic OH or low strings into the spray restand midscreen, and then adding a JIP or NJP where appropriate to start it.
B1 xx DF1
F22 xx DF1
112 xx DF1
From there, you can sequence into corner combos - which for now look to mostly be 212 xx (ex?)puddle, mash d1 as much as possible to stack venom, 112 xx DF1 for the restand.
My most basic punish midscreen is JIP, 212xxEXpuddle, F34, B12xxAir Throw. Meterless it'd be JIP, 11b2, 112xxDF1. It's not optimal, but it requires learning the timing of how far to let them fall so you can connect all your hits.
F44 into (1) F44 poisonovi midscreen instead of F34B12throw I personally find to be a little inconsistent depending on spacing, but is much easier in the corner.
Tricky stuff can be run cancelling D4's into one another at neutral (see HoneyBee's video), and variations of the same combo starting from different places. 11b2 launches, as does 212 - but 1 comes out quicker than 2. Just learn your basic 50/50 restands along with the reach of your pokes along with your F112 string - and you're good to start learning more specific matchup stuff by just playing.
To add onto this since a month has passed since that post: your corner combos should be getting around 37-40 per touch minimum with 1 bar. This is friggen awesome, thank you. I don't know how I didn't see you had replied to my post until now, so sorry about that. I've liked D'vorah since day 1, with Venomous being my favorite variation, but where it was a little 'meh' previously I never picked it up, but am REALLY looking forward to learning her now. Really, I've had MKX since release and but have played it very little.. Originally issues with online play, then after some patches graphic issues, etc etc/.. so even though I've had the game for months, I have equivalent to a couple weeks of actual play experience, spread out over the months. I've had good luck recent though with getting matches with functional connections, if I play with 'people'. ie, not ranked or random online, but searching out people here and elsewhere. Its not perfect, but it has been playable enough to be fun and has re-ignited my give-a-shit about MKX. Sub-Zero (Cryo and eventually GM) and hopefully D'vorah (I'm looking a little in to Predator, but I like D'vorah considerably more) are my planned mains right now.
On that note, are there any D'vorah players on *PC* that are interested in taking a newb under their wing? I'd love to have someone experienced who was interested in teaching and such to play sets with on a daily, or close to daily, basis. Someone interested in helping me learn the game as a whole.
Any way, thanks again for the info, very helpful.
Like sindelia Said it's outdated but f11,ex-df1,cross j2,112,wgc,212,db1,f34,b12 air throw does 42% stillare the damage values on page 1 incorrect?
F11 MB DF1 Cross Up J2 212 DB1 F34 B12 Air Throw (42%)
but im gettin 39%
Db1 is the same combo you do midscreen, you just have to run in after. Df1 is followed by db1 into the same midscreen combo. Her combos don't really change.Been labbing up the Queen, whats the max damage/most optimal combo off of a raw db1 or df1 full screen in SQ?
Yes, the run is necessary midscreen. You just have to feel out the timing. I usually do it when I'm under them, don't run too far under though or your inputs will be reversed.Simple enough. Appreciate the quick reply.
@Blewdew the combo you posted with the b3 for corner carry seems hard to hit, but I know Ive seen others do it consistently. Is there a visual cue or anything of where/when the b3 should be hitting? And is the run necessary?

It may seem hard at first but it's actually pretty easy once you got the timing for b3. After 212,swarm I hold up and do the njp at the last moment (you don't have to but idk I learnt it that way lol) and run at least a bit further than verticaly under him. when the opponent flies above you While you recover you did everything right.Simple enough. Appreciate the quick reply.

Welcome back! Yup, she's still the best of the 3. We have a bunch of corner carry and oki stuff with her now as well.So whats new? Is SQ still the best?
Share the love! I might go to WNF this week.Welcome back! Yup, she's still the best of the 3. We have a bunch of corner carry and oki stuff with her now as well.

I like how our combos are still relevant. We should probably add the new 112 WC combos for both midscreen and corner, and the new hkd/oki corner combos as well to the OP.
Meterless (Midscreen)
112 WC 212 db1 b21 db1
112 WC 212 db1 dash under b21 db1 (side switch oki setup)
112 WC 212 db1 NJP run b3 f112 db4
112 WC 212 db1 NJP run b3 d1 21U3 Air Throw (When close to the corner)
F34 d1 F44 WC b12 Air Throw
F34 d1 F44 WC d1 21U3 Air Throw (When close to corner)
Meter (Midscreen)
F11 EX df1 dash 5 times 112 WC 212 db1 NJP run b3 F112 db4
F11 EX df1 dash 5 times 112 WC 212 db1 NJP run b3 d1 21U3 Air Throw (When close to corner)
F11 EX df1 jump over (whiff) Air Throw dash 3 times 112 WC 212 NJP run b3 F112 db4
F11 EX df1 jump over (whiff) Air Throw dash 3 times 112 WC 212 NJP run b3 d1 21U3 Air Throw (When close to corner)
New Corner Setups (These can also be done from F11 EX df1 jump back (whiff) Air Throw JIP into 112)
112 WC 212 db1 NJP b3 212 db1 (oki setup)
112 WC 212 db1 NJP b21 db1 (oki setup)
112 WC 212 db1 NJP b3 d1 21U3 Air Throw
Like toptierharley said use b3 212,db1 now as an ender in the corner it's so damn good. F44 212,db1 works as well but b3 gets those style points lolShare the love! I might go to WNF this week.
What's the timing on NJP into d1?Here are 4 dumb swag combos.
