top 10 moves in the game

Best moves are in comparison to the rest of the moves so instead of considering a best move, I'd note the following.

1. Downpokes are essential tools and not every character has them as equally effective. This leads to the block infinite issue and other problems with characters who do not have one. The argument that Quan doesn't have one either? The argument that Raiden got nerfed because Quan didn't have one either? And then suddenly, Quan has an excellent d1 because reasons.

2. Armour can and will be broken. By a select few characters. Incidentally sometimes by those whose pressure actually requires to be broken out via either armour or downpoking.

3. Backwards things such as the above two crucial "lines in the sand" - meaning they separate good character from meh character in the current meta - are all across the board such as maintainable block advantage and reward/reward setups where there should be risk involved.

Best moves are not, in my opinion, something we should determine, in all honesty.
Issues with the general concept of the game are far more important, and that is what will point at certain moves being "best" in a way or another; and what all they lead to.

although you make valid points- this is all just for fun and opinions. "water-cooler talk" if you will. as started in the OP, none of these lists are to be taking super seriously or even close to as the end all be all.

Also if this becomes a nerf this or that thread ,im already prepared to ask a mod to close it .. its just for the S&Gs

is clone really as good as everyone says it is when it has been well recorded and recognized the multitude of counters it has? yes it is a good move, but top 10 in the game? a move with as many flaws as ice clone? i dont think so personally

Probably because Mileena isn't a top tier nobody is considering EX fade. Ex fade is one of if not the best move in the game. Aside from that I would also consider Clone, Ex spin, Cybernetic Knife, Hell sparks, Ferr/torr Njp, Quan chi Njp, Ex rune trap, fans, mmm and maybe obsidian totem.

It plays neutral for you, and cuts down a lot of characters normals. It's one of the only things that can slow down cassie, and nullifies Kotal outside of war god. It's not much to fear for a lasher player, but some characters without the long range no hurtbox whips can have issues with it.

I support this. EX fade is truly insane. It's essentially a free mix up of your choice on wake up.

i have seen quite a few people just run up and block to shatter the klone right as they throw it out, and what are subs options behind the klone in neutral besides slide and ice ball?

You don't win matches by throwing it out and hiding behind it. I won't just toss it out, I'll d4 into Klone, f4 into Klone. It can make a lot of strings safer(f4 into Klone is the only one that is truly safe, but they may not have armor) in the corner he does like 45% meterlessly and combos ending with f12 and proper spacing can armor shred anything into a looping process. As for his options in neutral with Klone out he can slide if they try to break it with a projectile, he can throw it if they r jump happy he can throw it, if they are dumb enough to run in he can shatter it(it's safe btw). By its self standing behind it doesn't do a whole lot, but the utility it gives sub zero is a lot more than it appears at face value. It's not the best moved in the game but could be included in the top ten imo.
