It's all so very confusing.
For the Queen:

There is a spot in the castle (I assume thats the Queen we are talking about) where you can climb a set of stairs to the top of the wall. I beat her by running between the ground-floor door and taking one or two shots with my sniper rifle, then the moment she noticed me, I immediately ran back, up the stairs, and took a couple more shots. Rinse and repeat until dead. Just DONT be greedy, she kills in one hit on Survival.. That acid spit thing drops you immediately, so you have to be patient and careful. You can send the dog out to aggro her for a few seconds and allow you your shots as well.

Missiles are your friends here for sure. I used them for the first 25% or so of her health. 7-8 missiles or so for her to 75%, but thats an un-modded launcher, no perks, nothing like that. So if you have a nice launcher and such she wouldnt be too tough if you had the ammo.

This is good to know. Gonna have to revisit and lay down the law.

Long range build? Mini nuke is probably the way to go. Maybe stealth boy and get the bonus with the sniper? Honestly she's kinda tough, I either stealth one shot her (Ninja is OP) or she see's me and wrecks me.
On survival?

I was able to stealth and snipe her here and there in a couple early tries (It took me 5-6 tries to get her down) and it removed... ehh, sub 10% health.. I know the bonus on melee is way better, but with my 100+ damage sniper rifle it took an easy 35-40 shots.. So even with a 5x+ bonus, it wouldnt even have knocked off 30%, unless the modifier works differently somehow for melee weapons?

Shrug.

Yeah,. she's not 'hard' if you're patient, just annoying. The biggest thing to stress is patience. If you have to ask yourself if you have time for a 2nd or 3rd shot, you don't. Just back away, change position, etc.

I havent done this, but I would think you could bring a compantion, give them a melee weapon and send them down. They are like the dog right? And cant die, just get knocked out? If you did that you'd have her distracted for longer periods, allowing more shots, she will knock them out quick, but 'err little bit helps.

If you were to fight her 'fairly' though, I don't know if its possible to beat her on Survival outside of being crazy geared and crazy high level AND in power armor. I was lv 17 or 18, possibly a tiny bit lower, when i took her on.

Power armor doesnt matter. She killed me in one swipe and destroyed my whole suit and I dont play on a high difficulty.

Noob's saibot or noob saibot's?
Rank 1 gives you a 3x multiplier to XP whenever it procs. It can proc on kills, exploration, quests, hacking, lockpicking, building your settlement, etc. At rank 2, it does all of the above, except the multplier is 5x.

The lower your intelligence stat is, the higher chance it has to proc. It's a good perk to have, regardless of what your intelligence stat is.
i need my crazy ass power armour mods though and I'm a full nuclear physicist i have around 20 fusion cores and have been constantly exploring the map with it on 8) i'll have to check it out though thanks !

No save scumming. My intelligence is like 4-5. I just explore a lot. I got the 100 areas discovered at like 11-12 hours in. I got lucky with Idiot Savant proccing a lot on quests and at rank 2, it's 5x XP. It adds up fast.

Not to mention I've done some of the repeatable quests a fair bit because I didn't realize they kept popping up.

Has anyone figured out if it's possible to make a second character or not?

Because I had a fun idea for my second character while riding the bus today:

"Coming home from the horrors of war was hard for our hero, and he had a tough time re-intergrating into the working world. His spontaneous streaks of anger and violence cost him job after job until he was scouted based on looks to be the model for Grognak the Barbarian at Hubris comics' special events and ads(a job where his violent tendencies and over the top personality would fit). Originally he took the job for the easy and steady pay, but over time he'd developed an obsession with the character he spent so much time portraying. Much to the displeasure of his friends and family, he'd wear his costume in his leisure time and demand to be referred to as Grognak. Then the bombs came. Upon witnessing the murder of his wife and kidnapping of his child while frozen in his vault, something snapped within him and he decide to devote his life to ridding the world of scum as Grognak the Barbarian. Conveniently, the Commonwealth was in need of heroes and his vigilante antics would actually serve a use. He broke into Hubris Comics store and took the Grognak costume and axe, and set out to find his child and help those in distress along the way".

OC DO NOT STEAL :DOGE (I came up with a story for my first character as well, though it's bit shorter and simpler).

Since my starting character was mostly strength, a good amount of endurance and luck, and a little bit in the other stats, I think i'm going to go for maxing out Strength, Endurance, and Agility first, leaving intelligence low for a while, and upping the rest as I see fit to acquire character fitting skills.

He'll also be using a lot of "potions"(chems) and "fire spells"(Molotov's).

Of course, the needed pieces of this puzzle:

Ammo tip if you don't already know: Picking up an enemy's weapon from the ground, not their loot list, gives you the ammo in the gun's magazine/cell. So, grab the ammo off their corpse and from the gun! Then just pitch their weapon.

Very hard, super sledge does about 250 damage (It about doubles that around 10-20% health) then times 11. Plus blitz gives me a modifier depending on how far away I am, don't know how big that gets but it also seems to double damage at max distance. One shots everything. Perhaps melee ignores armor? I don't honestly know, other than I am wrecking everything but kinda a glass cannon.

Speaking of glass cannons, is their any way to counter this! Feel like I wreck a lot of shit, but once I take damage I get wrecked easily. There's no middle. I either dominate or get dominated lol.

And if you want to lvl fast you simply reload everytime it doesn't proc just before you end a quest.

Have you unlocked the clothing armour mod yet? (main story I think) I just found out I can put clothing with armor 110 underneath my armor bringing the total to like 250. So that might solve that problem...

Not sure what you mean? Can you give an example. I have Right Leg, Left Arm, Helmet, etc stuff equipped.

Curious on that myself..

I'm not really a glass cannon but I'm not super sturdy either. My armor almost all leather or.combat pieces I have upgraded.

A note to people with more.than one character, keep an eye on your difficulty setting when swapping if you play them on different settings. My melee guy I turned down to 'hard' just till I get my feet under me and a reasonable weapon, and when I swapped back to my main guy it stayed on that setting. I loaded it up and wandered into a little nest of super mutants, aggroed 3-4 and when I turned to run back for cover I got caught between soms debris and my character kinda got stuck. I figured 'oh well shit happens I'll go down firing' only to pull out my assault rifle and kill everything easily... Then I popped a stim pack and realized my health was refillimg super fast. =\

So normally you have a vault jumpsuit or army fatigues etc under those armour pieces and it offers very little in the way of protection. Instead it'll give your special stats bonuses, like army fatigues giving 0 armour but +1 to str and agi. However there's an armour mod that puts ballistic fibre in clothing (I mean in game mod). Meaning you can have suits and dresses giving you massive resist to both physical and energy, although with suits and dresses you can't place the armour on top. But with army fatigues/road leathers you can get your armor pieces on top essentially doubling your armour rating. It takes the armourer perk though.

Yep. I mentioned save scumming in regards to Idiot Savant in an earlier post. I'd only recommend doing so if you really want a certain perk right away. There are times, that even at a rather low intelligence, that you might have to reload your save for 10 minutes before it procs.
