D'vorah below kitana? Interesting. And are tremor's problems with females that detremental to his placement? Feels like he should be closer to sub zero.

Edit: silly me I thought matchups would actually come into play in this, hearing no mention what so ever about matchups 25 minutes in.

I like what they have to say for the most part. CD may like to fire shots but for the most part he's not wrong. I get people don't like him cause he says some stuff but he's still a great player in multiple games so you cannot write him off completely.

I also would like to say I think Sub Zero is possibly the most underrated character in the game. Completely ridiculous on offense and defense, and I'm glad CD brought up Sub. Grandmaster completely shuts down certain characters.

Could somebody explain Scorpion's placement to me? I've played several really good Scorpions and he strikes me as a solid mid tier character.

Cause he is still the same. Making the Beam have more push-back on hit didn't do much since he can cancel into run after to get a mix. If he doesn't end the combo with Beam then he's neutral or end the combo with Hell Sparks and go back to zoning.

on hit he is perfect. the darkbeam shouldn't be punishable on block tho (not that hard for some chars), I'd like a -8, and with faster recovery his zoning gets actually decent, now he has to rely a lot on the 40f unblockable and gets outzoned with low profile projectiles.

don't get me wrong, he is still very good, but imo he is not S or even A+ tier without those things.

Recently, Cd Mani (Formerly known as Cd Jr) and Coach Steve discussed the tier list after the lastest patch, and I must say, I have to agree with them. Check out the video and keep the discussion cordial and respectful. Below is the list of characters they discussed. I'm not going to place the other characters as they did not discuss them.

I really loved their contributions. I like Coach Steve and Mani. I think they work well together and hope to hear more from them in The Locker Room. We need things like this in the community! I liked their reasonings for the most part but I hope they really explore the variations more in their discussion. Keep up Steve, Keep it up Mani!

People don't hate on Jr. because he talks a lot. That's nonsense. The most popular guys in the community all have huge mouths and big egos. Don't get it twisted. People hate on Jr. because if you want to talk shit about players who are actually placing, you better make a top 8 in a relevant tournament every now and then. If you're relatively not great at the game and you do nothing but hate on it to justify why others are placing and you're not, yeah, people will hate on you.

This shit again. When can we get podcasts on how to deal with individual characters, matchup by matchup and frame data? Proper analyses will lead to improvement, not whining about "Quan being better than Goro". Let's see all the variations vs, and break the fight down to frames and possibilities.

I think scorpion is better than they gave credit for. The didn't mention ninjutsu which is his best variation imo. I think hellfire and inferno can be better picks for certain match ups though.

Opening people up with Scorpion does require a little extra work with grabs and etc but with some conditioning he can be scary.
