So, what truly is the WORST matchup in this game?

Pyro Tanya vs Blood God Kotal is a 8-2 9-1 match up in his favor.

Oh how the tides have turned on that match up.

I believe A-List vs Dragon Fire and Buzzsaw is 3-7. Dragon fire vs Lackey must be at least 8-2

Tanya vs goro
Her best MU is against Jason. Goro holds his own.

Also Johnny v. Jason is way worse than Tanya v. Jason, although they are both 7-3 territory.

Goro vs Tanya is the only answer to this thread. If a Tanya loses to a Goro they got severely outplayed.
@Espio @juicepouch, ive heard mixed things from the Goro community about this MU. Is it 7-3 material?

Maybe im missing something but I dont see how it is as bad as Jason.

I doubt this is the worst matchup in the game when stuff like Sun God vs Grandmaster exist... but:

But Flame Fist Liu Kang vs Ronin Takeda feels ridiculously sided to flame fist (I'd say at least 6-4 maybe 7-3). Parry eats your pressure options (basically all mid/overhead starters). You get outzoned. He can cancel everything into -2 and has a 6 frame startup, meaning that literally anything he does can beat you or tie, and you have to be frame perfect for the tie (takeda's fastest startup is 8 frame d1 and d2). Your armor options are blown up by F214, F44, B12, basically anything he wants to start with. If you lose your blade, you may as well just mash DF1 and hope to win the next round, cause you're screwed even more. If he hits your block, he just goes into -2, if he hits, he just goes into jazz hands (no cancel) to remain plus. Knocking him full screen results in you getting outzoned. Ronin could probably put up a bit of a fight in zoning good use of reflects, but overall his reflect is pretty mediocre and low fireball low profiles your main projectile. Still you probably could put a semi-decent fight zoning, so I won't downplay there.

I think Lasher/SR might be even worse (I don't play them), but they could at least play the range game better. Ronin has to get pretty close, where taking 1 hit basically results in your death.

Since I don't play Kotal or Grandmaster. This is the worst matchup I've ever played in this game, and I do play a wide variety of characters.

Hmm, okay, I admit that I don't get this one. Can you help me understand why it's a bad match up?

I'm assuming Kobu Tanya.

Goro has a 6 frame D3 (and D1) so he can poke out of pressure as well as any other character (and better than most), and his punchwalk has multiple hits of armor, so she can't just try to armor break willy-nilly.

Usually I'm willing to trust what Bunlantern has to say about a mu but I agree with you here (until proven otherwise) that Jason has it worse. I'm reticent to throw around mu numbers but I think I'd rather fight a tanya player than a few other variations (HQT Tempest hellfire)
