It's really just not entertaining to me anymore. The way the game plays just doesn't excite me. The game's nutty stuff is all in a certain direction, and not really diverse.Out of curiosity, why isn't it fun anymore for you?
Agreed. Just the other day I was in KOTH and was sent god awful messages from 4 different players in a matter of one hour. No skin off my back, it makes the victory all the sweeter, but instead of sending hate mail, why not just take the tactics I just beat you with into practice? Lol. Or better yet, ask me. I won't hesitant to give you tips for your character or tips to use against mine.I played a guy who was just nasty with a few characters. Afterwards, I gave him dap for his tremendous skill. He thanked me for the matches and told me his last 5 opponents all called him a cheater. He was really good and clearly knew the matchups and tried to keep it where he had the advantage, but he was in no way cheating. Entirely too many people these days would rather make excuses then give credit where its due or put in work.
Rare do players want to learn anymore.Agreed. Just the other day I was in KOTH and was sent god awful messages from 4 different players in a matter of one hour. Casuals I guess.
Yeah I can relate to what your saying somewhat and it seems to be a commen complaint. It's really just not entertaining to me anymore. The way the game plays just doesn't excite me. The game's nutty stuff is all in a certain direction, and not really diverse.
I'm not saying that I want you out of the community, I'm just saying that the OP was literally "everyone has been really negative about the netcode all the time, how about we look on the bright side, the tournament community is flourishing" and then this thread immediately got hounded by everyone basically saying "fuck you there is no bright side, the netcode sucks."Yeah it would require a huge commitment indeed to stick with a community that wants you out just because you think NRS should improve (up to 2015 standards) a franchise you do love to no end.
We do agree about that . . .
It's not really the character I'm playing that's the issue. I really enjoy Reptile. But I don't enjoy playing vs that flowchart feeling a majority of the cast has, and how it really is mostly catered to offense.Yeah I can relate to what your saying somewhat and it seems to be a commen complaint.
You should try a different char to see if that sparks it, some chars are way too flowchart but also some are diversed
I really like and enjoy the rushdown game, you don't know how much I hate zoning, specially NRS zoning. 50/50 are a problem in high level play, but for me and my brother, your average weekend gamers, there's almost no problem with 50/50s. That being said I wish there were less 50/50 like in MK9. Quan Chi is far more honest than MK9 Kenshi.whoever said the mechanics were good ....
- the run button/mechanic makes the neutral game boring and little obsolete, and promotes rushdown play
- over reliance on 50/50s
- Quan Chi
First off, given that the OP said that this wasn't in regards to the netcode, I find it funny that everyone immediately started bitching about it, and also given the context of the post I think it was clear that he was saying that the game is doing well in the FGC. As in not referring to casuals. As in not referring to how the online plays. And secondly, if all of you people hate this game so much, why are you even on TYM? It makes absolutely no sense to me why you would be on these forums if you think that this game is garbage.
This isn't a great way to think about online. People just want to be able to play online as close to offline as possible. And really, MKX's online doesn't come close for a lot of people. There are some who don't have that bad of experiences, but I wonder how much of that is just lack of experience or attention to how the game feels offline. And those individuals are much more in between than those who have disappointing experiences.Always the same ppl complaining about online being unplayable...
Stop playing ranked and dont take online serious.
And dont blame online when u get outplayed.
Twisting his words ?Your twisting his words around completely. Something you do often to suit your agenda.
No one said the community wants you out. However, ultimately, it's a game. If you aren't having fun playing it, why do you still play?
Y'all aint ready for my Zenyatta & Bastion (Also Gigantic check it out)none of this matters because dark souls 3 and overwatch are in the future
I'll prob get a lot of flak/hate for this, and it's probably not even the right thread to bring it up in, but I honestly have to strongly disagree with objectively calling it a good fighter. I can't in good conscience agree because I feel a ton of the design elements are (to use a favored fg term) straight up fraudulent.I think that MKX is a fucking awesome game. The way the competitive meta has been evolving, I think that the game is deep enough that it can last for years. NRS has, in general, done a really good job of patching the game, and each successive patch has left the game demonstrably better than it was before. I fucking love it. [...]
So, even though I love this game, and I believe that there is enough evidence to objectively say that this is a very good fighter, I cannot sign off on "the state of the game being good" when online is such an issue, not only for myself but also the overwhelming majority of competitive players.
Haha. How about you stop telling othes to accept mediocrity simply because it is all you know? I can list 4 fighters on steam off the top of my head where I play flawlessly (and can do my 1f combos,) yet MKX is entirely unplayable (unless you just like hitting random buttons and then seeing how the match plays out, I guess.)Always the same ppl complaining about online being unplayable...

Amen to this, 3x over. No community is perfect, but this community has been a lot more fun-loving (and a lot more welcoming) than several others I've been a part of.People who complain MK has a bad community, have never truly been a part of a bad Community.
my tracer widowmaker and winston gonna show you whose bossY'all aint ready for my Zenyatta & Bastion (Also Gigantic check it out)
I don't see why he wouldn't be - the online service is borderline unplayable and nothing is being done to fix it.Seem mad
I don't really recall this happening? Can you link/show where this happened? Not to mention that Max is a joke. He promoted MKX online at launch for being great. Then ... he realized his viewers aren't that dumb ?
