Question - Inferno Understanding Inferno Scorpion

I'm having serious trouble dealing with him. I really feel like removing the invincibility from her teleport made Tanya suffer in this matchup but I can't wholeheartedly say that she didn't need that nerf because of how many other characters fighting her felt like her fighting inferno feels to me today.
I play Pyromancer.

EDIT: does scorpion have a faster jump kick than an njp? I don't trust frame data anymore

Cannot jump in this matchup, but low minion doesn't appear to be reactable. They run full screen, if I approach it's raining high minions with the occasional low into 30% damage then reset then 30% damage, then reset, then dead.
If I try to air-zone to avoid the minions, they teleport, 30% damage, reset, 30% damage. At first I thought it was a vortex but either I suddenly stopped understanding what vortex is, or online is fucking with me. I suspect the latter, because b312 is + on block but he was poking out a good 70% of the time.
And don't anybody give me the "online doesn't count" bullshit, I have the same right playing and understanding the game as those who have actual real life friends to play it with.

So here's what happens. I rush him down, he teleports out, I lose round because of the supposed vortex that doesn't seem to have anything but hitstun so I cannot seem to block high OR low, let alone poke out. Please correct me on this one, i'm obviously wrong.
I try to bait the teleport, I get to choose if I die 3 damage at a time to high minion, or eat the low minion. I try to retaliate, he teleports and it's the same shit over and over again.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Minions are fuzzyable, block low then react to the overhead. If you block it run in then block it again. If he's teleporting out when you're rushing him down, you need to block that teleport and punish him then make him scared to use it.

That's what I thought, it's likely online lag + this patch's input delay bug that makes me unable to deal with it.
What about his quasi-infinite bullshit? Where's the block high/low part if there is one?
EDIT: Though I'm starting to realise that it's likely the fact that I'm not dealing nearly as much damage to him as he does to me. Pyro's lack of damage other than the odd lucky unblocked fireball is nonexistant, and this can't be won by spacing and punishing. He just outpressures and outdamages me while he rules the whole screen.

Block low, react to the overhead & dash when you see him stalling cos he's getting ready for the minion grab & punish.

I have used Inferno from day 1 but his lack of damage & very high risk play has made me change characters altogether.

Dash or full run input?

Right before the reset you're need to block high or low, sounds like you're guessing wrong on the vortex. Go to the lab and record the AI Scorpion to do what your'e having trouble with and see what you can do or like post some footage of your match. Oh and his jump 3 is ridiculously good, don't even try to beat it lol. I can't think of a better person to help you with the Scorpion matchup other than @JTB123

I know what a vortex is but I can't find where the reset is. I hold block and wait and then my hp is gone. You'd think that if I keep fuzzyguarding eventually I'd guess right if there is a guess somewhere. I don't particularly want to learn Scorpion's combos at the moment, I barely have time to play my main. 12 hour shifts are not fun and when I get home and try to rest, I get annoyed by a stupid game. Go figure.

With regards to Scorpions the launching options are his B3 which is a low and his F4 which is the overhead. The overhead is 25 frames so first thing I would recommend is going into training mode and studying that moves animation. What I usually tell people is pay attention to his back leg as that is where the move comes from and after a teleport on hit Scorpion is at +18 so there is a gap.

This is one aspect of Scorpions game I feel is somewhat under rated, while it is reactable, you do have to be on point.

Scorpions F4 on block when in Inferno however has no safe follow up, F4 spear can be nuetral ducked but then you can get caught by the low minion so I would advise blocking low after you have blocked F4. Spear on block as well as low minion are death on block.

B3 ex spear will grant him a safe option but he is -5 so if he attempts anything you can blow this up, I'm not sure what Tanya's fasted mid is but a poke will suffice to check him. B3 low minion is sort of the Inferno special as you don't expect it, so just keep blocking low.

This is where his regular F2 comes into play however as that is his single hitting overhead which is 17 frames and gives a hard knock down which leaves you right next to him. This is where you need to pay close attention to what the Scorpion player likes to do, it will take 4 of those to equal one low minion in terms of damage output and F2 by itself is -6 so his turn is over once you block it.

Scorpion will only guaranteed follow ups from his teleport as a combo ender, one thing I notice about most Inferno players is that end their combos with mid minion which is only +4 on hit. This means you can armour either B3 or F2 if they try to do this. This will also beat a throw attempt.

Not sure if the player you're fighting tries it but any string into a minion is interupptable as well, just be wary of yolo spear in these situations and take note of what the Scoprion player likes to do.

Any blocked minion even at full screen into another minion is the main thing you cannot let Inferno Scorpion get away with. You have the time to run in and full combo him if back to back OH minions are attempted and Tanya can dash forward, teleport into a jump punch if he attempts even EX minion which is now faster.

Hope this helps.

The run mechanic really destroys the strategy of Inferno Scorpion. After you block a OH/Low minion he has to respect the fact that you can run in on him. He's in a better situation if he uses the Minion Charge because it has a ton of blockstun. Once you get in his face it's game time! He has no good armor options, so you really don't have much to worry about.

Don't let people end blockstrings with Minions either because they can be interrupted.
