Breakthrough - Balanced RIP Kenshi. Why Balanced is Bottom 5 in MKX and it's a shame.

I'm making this thread because Kenshi is actually one of my favorite MK characters and a MK9 powerhouse that's been reduced to ash and seems it will stay that way from the looks of it, at least until 2016.

His TF is so bad that it's basically unusable at a high level. His overheads are easily reactable. His spirit charge is decent but EX spirt charge is only -2 and leads to super low damage. His Armored wakeups getting bodied by a lot of the cast. So basically he's supposed to be a zoner and his zoning sucks. On top of that he has ZERO mixups and ZERO pressure. In a game that's based on pressure and mixups you would figure his zoning would be godlike. Nope, instead characters that have ALL THREE things already godlike get BUFFED like Quan Chi.

To make matters worse in reality he probably LOSES to Kitana, that's how bad things have gotten for Kenshi. He's basically a nerfed, shitty MK9 character. After this latest patch i seriously cannot think of 5 variations that are worse than Balanced Kenshi. So yeah, one of the coolest MK characters is trash tier and the only way he can win is if you don't know the match up, or you just get out played by someone a lot better than you using him. This isn't May 2015 anymore, all high level players now know the MU. Pack it up, he'll never make top 8 at a real major again unless something is done.

I only hope that NRS returns Kenshi to his true form and we actually have a character who can put a stop the Kitana, Devorah, Cassie (etc) madness. Otherwise he's going to be one of the loneliest characters on the select scree. PAULO PLS.

Kenshi is awful man. I tried getting into him the first week of the game since I love the character, but he just felt like a pile of shit.

It sucks not being able to play your favorites, but any Kenshi who sticks with him puts a character over their own mental well being. It has to be frustrating.

To win with this character I feel like you need 2 to 3 correct armor reads per round that you win with a punishable move. Can't just be me that feels that way right?

and this is why we can't have nice things, Like Kenshi.

He's fine.

Kenshi feels like a character that had the least amount of care put into him. It seems like just his moves are horrible all around, they need to take kenshi and completely re design him because sometimes it feels like a joke playing as him!

That will go far, I'm glad he is as adament about this character as he is, he's not afraid to be vocal about the deficiency of the character.

That's a big deal.

I wish I had the same representation for my character.

Oh well, I guess I will just keep working hard regardless. Hopefully get my name out there at some point.

Also yeah Balanced Kenshi may be one of the worse in the game free. At least Blood God has stuff to make you think & be scared of.

Somebody has to be bottom 5, midawell be Kenshi.

Balanced and Kenjutsu are both garbage, and I'm still trying to survive the struggle. :'(

I can't think of anyone worse then kenshi...goro? After the patch probably not kenshi is for sure in the talk of WORST MKX character and completely useless!
