All I can tell you is to stop getting your hopes up when Boon posts something cryptic. It's fun to speculate, and I do it too, but don't believe for a second Boon will give you what you want lol. He does deliver sometimes, and maybe he will reveal a character or two later on, who knows. He's been doing this for years, if you set your expectations high you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I get it too, it does suck and it is underwhelming but that's the way NRS is.

Tanya and Predator were both patched. They're improving, and they're continuing support for the game. One of the main criticisms of MK9 and Injustice was the lack of continued support after a period of time. Generally for NRS games the time period of patching is finished about 6 months after the games release. MKX was released in April and will be given continued support into 2016. If you don't see how that's not huge, I honestly don't know what to tell you.

To be clear, I don't have qualms with the KP being released in 2016. I just think not revealing any of the characters is a bad idea. I just don't see what they can hope to gain by holding out on telling us who they are. But I do think there's something to be lost if they did in fact listen to all of these people demanding the characters I mentioned before.... who seemingly popped out of the wood-work over the last couple of months. If they're not still around when you show them you listened, they'll have already lost those people as potential KP buyers.

What do they gain by holding out?

I assume they'll be revealing 1 character each month starting this month and then start releasing them 1 by 1 on January.

I also still think (hope) the 3rd character is Stryker due to the SWAT vest and his big ears.

Except it wasn't cryptic? He was clearly making us expect a trailer like was shown for KP1 and he even put "Tomorrow..?"

Thanks NRS for the announcement...of an announcement...of future announcements.

The reason people are so caught off guard is that this change in pace is really polarizing. We've had characters come out every few weeks up until about the last month and now they're not only leaving the next DLC until later but they're leaving it 'til at least 4 MONTHS later. Plus they're not even telling us who they have planned, not even just one to spark discussion for the next while as we deal with the current meta. Besides it being released in 2016 and the fact it comes with a stage (although that was heavily hinted at with all the Pit stuff) they haven't told us anything we didn't already know.

Random thought: I think they should release a poll where we can vote for which character gets revealed first, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th one.

I agree. I don't understand why they do it either but i'm just trying to look at the positive side, because I think they outweigh the negatives. It sucks we didn't get a trailer or a reveal, but we will in due time. Maybe they're trying to avoid another situation where the models look like shit (Tanya).

This could not have been better. I am so hype that this game will actually be seeing updates and DLC after a year of being out. Everyone bitched and moaned about how NRS is totally done supporting their games within a years time, this is a huge win for the MKX fans that will not jump ship. And this assures MKX will have more life than Injustice and MK9 did.

Thank you NRS for not rushing things along so you can start working on the next game. Now MKX can stay relevant in 2016, because I am not touching SF5.

That and their favorite MK game of all time based off their reviews was MK Deception...one of the most broken MKs lol. I mean it's fun but come on IGN...

There better be something new and damn well exciting. also this gives them plenty of time to take another crack at the netcode.

This is the best thing they could have done. Long term support will grant this game a longer life span than we've ever seen from an mk title. I am most pleased.

You know... After yesterday's teaser image and saying "big news" would be coming today... Today's announcement is very underwhelming. EVERYONE thought the teaser image and wording meant they would be revealing which characters are coming next.

What a letdown. They basically told us they had huge news for us today, then told us something that has already been generally accepted since the game came out.

If you expect the game to have tons of bugs and issues after 2016 then you should know better than to expect it to be better if released earlier.

And if you don't give a shit about all of that and just want to please yourself by looking at 8 more fatalities then I can't believe that you like this game for the same reasons as most of TYM.
