  • Kano - Adjusted several regular attack collisions to hit more consistently on ducking opponents and in combos
  • Kano - Slightly increased the hit cancel advantage on Away+FP, Away+FP,BP, Towards+BP, Towards+BP,FP, Towards+FK,FK, Away+FK, Away+FK,FP, Towards+BK
  • Kano - Up Ball & Uprise Ball will now hit twice on block more often on ducking opponents
  • Kano - Air Ball is no longer punishable if used at the end of some long combos
  • Kano (CutThroat) - Decreased the dam buff on Charge Up to 33% down from 50%
  • Kano (CutThroat) - Reduced the recovery on Charge Up by 13 frames
  • Kano (Cybernetic) - Reduced the meter gain from Upward Laser
  • Kano (Cybernetic) - Adjusted the reaction on Upward Laser (Meter Burn) to allow for slightly easier follow up combo
  • Kano (Cybernetic) - Upward Laser now has 10 startup frames (down from 16) and does 7 damage (down from 9)
  • Kano (Commando) - You can now meter burn the last hit of the FK,BP,Throw/FP+FK combo to allow for a combo follow-up
Not all the changes we were hoping for but the changes we deserve.

They aren't nerfs. Commando has an extra little tool. Cutthroat's buff is a bit safer. If the first bullet point is what I think it is, that might be the fix to 112. I don't know though, we need someone to lab that out when the patch goes live.

do you know the ETA for patch? Really wanna hit the lab. But yeah mostly good stuff. All I'm really wanting is whiff fixes so looks like it might be in there

I said I'd be happy with just 112 fixes, so I'm in the same boat as you. The ETA should be sometime tommorrow according to the NRS Stream today

There wasn't a single nerf on the list. I know someone wants to say 50 to 33% is a nerf, but it's a tradeoff. You're losing EX Buff damage for a faster EX buff which leads to more buff cancel combos(As well as potential blockstring shenanigans like B121xxDD3B121)
Exactly. I love this patch so much. Can't wait to test it because it's looking pretty solid. I already thought Kano was fine barring 112 issues, but this really rubs me the right way. I play all three variations so I'm psyched up.

you can hit confirm 32 which is -1. It has no range though so it's gonna be a punish (on something that leaves them close) 99% of the time

I would need to read the frame data, but the gist of your question is that canceling your strings into specials are a bit easier (refering to the timing and advantage you obtain by canceling said string into special). That's what I took from it.

More cancel advantage on hit means more specials will combo out of those strings, coupled with the power up special buff I believe Kano can do a string and cancel it into EX buff and still have enough advantage to link another string afterwards and have it combo SF style or at least leave Kano heavily + on hit.

I'm pretty sure I saw them do F4xxEX buff into a normal and it combo'd.

I doubt it, more cancel advantage would probably mean more hitstun/grab immune, that bullet point is basically more cutthroat buffs. -__-

Sad that upwards laser didn't get buffed recovery instead of faster start-up. Would far rather not put my balls on the line every time I want to up laser, instead of having a bit more time to put said balls on the line.

I'm also a little bit sad that there's no Mention in commando about his whiffs with command grabs or the F4xxChoke whiffing (That one is less of an issue since it's distance dependent) . But even if they JUST fixed 112; that will mean he can punish much more reliably.

I think it fits the character overall. Kano Ball and Airball are both fantastic moves that reward good timing, but fuck you for bad timing. This laser change rewards skill but still leaves the punish for miss-timing things. I like that about Kano, so I like this change.

Not all the changes we were hoping for but the changes we deserve.
From the looks of this and the general gameplay patch, most of Kano's whiffing issues have been fixed although f33 xx Choke and f4 xx choke still might whiff unless the hit advantage buff fixed that. Also appears the overall Kano patch buffs Cutthroat the most with the hit cancel advantage buff and Charge Up recovery buff. Maybe the hit cancel advantage buffs will also affect Commando as well by either giving him more tick throws maybe? With 32,1+3 MB being a thing now, I'm guesstimating that we can do AT LEAST 44% 1 bar combo with it. The combo being 32,1+3MB, NJP/JI1, RC 32, 32 xx dfb 4. I don't have any thoughts or comments of Cybernetic.

With the Hit Cancel Advantage buff, f4 xx choke may not whiff at certain ranges anymore because the choke would come out faster. At least that's how I think hit cancel advantage works.

Cutthroat is going to be stupid. F21 xx EX Buff, F212 etc will now combo. And he'll probably be able to viably get 40% with 1 bar midscreen. That's awesome!

Option selects were taken out of the game really, but not when it comes to command grabs, which means D4 OS grab in commando is still there which is great. The new combo buff looks interesting, but it's probably only going to be used for a punish.

Up laser buff is good. 10f anti air. Not bad, i'd probably rather still uppercut because it's faster but im not complaining about a new option.


and my favorite FIX of them all...The UP BALL! This is honestly what I cared about more than anything. They could have left him alone and just fixed this and i would have been happy. I cant wait to try out all this new stuff! Cutthroat will be fun again!
