I also think people are pushing it by trying to make the Dark Beam less + on hit. NRS obviously did it so that his restand string actually does it's job. Does anyone not think there's not a correlation behind it being precisely +8 on hit up close?

Yes it does jail. Maybe not from certain distances but nobody can reasonably be expected to know when they can interrupt it in a real match.
These Shinnok Boneshaper downplayers!! I swear u guys are the worst. 'but his hell sparks is unsafe ' Yea it is but with the mind game of Shinnok delaying the MB can really make a player hesitant to punish.. d4 hellsparks - great footsie tool and jails and post MB Hellsparks is where Shinnok goes ham- chip and meter building rinse and repeat ... I dont give a damn what anyone else says I agree that BONESHAPER Shinnok is the BEST CHARACTER in MKX.
But they are unsafe, variation wide, and there ain't no "what if he MBs it?!?!" if it whiffs. That's not downplaying, that's just stating the facts.
Not to mention that, again, he's spending meter to build this meter, the process certainly isn't free of stamina, and once he's out of both, he treads on more thin ice than you ever do. Right now the problem is that he gets the meter in question too easily because of the presence of Dark Beam. Make it unsafe, problem solved. Call it a deal there.
Just remember Black Adam, people swore by the bible patch after patch that the safety of his divekick had to go or it's going to kill Injustice, regardless of whatever else NRS had taken away from him at that point, and when NRS did actually pull the trigger, the same people were like "oh... sorry guys.... guess he did need it.... poor Black Adam". And tried to use it as some weird trojan horse to get the game patched again, amongst other things.
I and a lot of other people could do without that aggravation for the next 18 months minimum. And I'm not even a Shinnok main.
