Give @cR WoundCowboy his props and just shut the fuck up. Like seriously, there are several other threads to post you all's stupid fuck idiotic opinions in. Let him have his win stream and pot monsters and hold that you could never and will never do the same in this game.

Anyways,

Congratz @cR WoundCowboy. It's so easy to win a major with Shinnok yet no one else has done it but you. Good stuff for real especially with the comp that was present at the tourney. The envious will always look to discredit but you seem to handle it well.

Both ex spins have the same start-up frames (7 frames) but buzz-saw is advancing and covers more distance, so it punishes things that tempest spin can't (most Sub-Zero clone cancels for example).

Eh, there's no way anyone can make that statement since I'm pretty confident over 50% of the match-ups (when you consider all the variations) aren't nowhere near explored enough.

I'm certainly not offended, but I think in the same way the rules do not tolerate being derogatory to someone by correlating their forum actions to that of a homosexual man, they would similarly not tolerate being derogatory to someone by correlating their actions to a Trans person. Just my two cents.

As to the topic itself, Cowboy might complain too much for his own good and determine matchups after too few sets (A flaw of many of our resident top players), but dammit if he isn't resourceful enough to beat the person who beat him at Evo in the runback and yet again prevail of DJT in a high stakes match. Well done sir!

I see where you're coming from and respect your foresight. The context of my name choice would easily get lost to those who don't think on it but instead relate it to something more derogatory immediately. I'll leave it alone for now and reevaluate a more simplistic (and less demeaning) name choice for all the whiners. Now I've fallen into the fallacy I spoke against of derailing this thread just trying to stir up some drama so I'm done here. Lol

Definitely top 5, probably top 3. But tier lists should be based on match-up numbers and I feel most match-ups are still unexplored so it's really tough to determine an exact spot. Which means that most tier spots are based on tools and how strong a character appears to be. Tempest Lao obviously has super strong tools and very few weaknesses so he's an easy choice for top 5. But do we really know enough about match-ups to say he's absolutely better than say, Predator or Shinnok? I don't think so.

Imo he does need to be toned down but just verrry slightly. Make his reset plus 5 instead of what it is now so f4 is armorable. And make his mb low scoop have less range. That is all

Although I do agree all this op talk and nerf talk is exaggerated, arguing he is anything but top 3 is silly and makes you sound like a downplayed.

Give me just one reason why he wouldn't be considered top 3 or even 2

Ah lemme see here....so for BS...poor mobility, mix-up game is just okay, gaps in his pressure, and the fact that people don't punish the Hell Sparks enough when they can be.

He's like 6 or 7. I'd say Cassie, Predator, Kung Lao, Jax, and Erron Black are all superior.

Poor mixups and mobility jajajaja omg man cmon.. His run speed and back dash are both excellent. And he has better mixups than 90% of the cast

How? You block low and react to the OH there's nothing to trip you up. He can scoop instead of dark beam. There's nothing to worry about. The grab can be tricky to read but you don't really have to worry about getting tripped up by much. It's the pressure that you have to worry about but that alone wouldn't make him top 5.

It could just be that I play Imposter and I'm aware of what Bone Shaper has, but I really feel like a lot of people overestimate it. There are other variations in the game that have the potential to do a lot more damage.
