They could have noob as one variation, smoke as another and a team up like Ferra torr as a 3rd one, that would be pretty cool.
It would be cool to see but in all honesty by doing that you are taking away from the characters. This is a new time line you know? Let them evolve before throwing them back together as one.
Look at how thrilled the Jade fans were with her being reduced to three special moves in a Kitana variation. Is that really what you want?

Agree with Bo Rai Cho. He is a great character and it'd be great to see him in MKX. Noob/Smoke is also a good idea, just like in MKD.

Probably not, but better something than nothing for your favorite characters, people would probably be happier with a Jade skin too =)
